Resolved Question: Its is our 1st wedding anniversary...can I return my gift?
My husband bought me a very expensive camera for our 1st anniversary. The camera represented traditional-paper (print the pictures) and modern-clock (timer). I love the sentiment but the cost was over the top. Can I ask him to return it? moreOpen Question: What can i make my dad for his first Anniversary?
My Parents are divorced and my dad got remarried last year on June 14th. It's the 13th today. I love my stepmom and i'm making her fashion designs that she can hang in their bedroom. However, i don't know what i should do for my dad. My dad doesn't like me to buy him anything, so i want to make something nice. Tthe traditional gifts for the first anniversary are paper or cotton. So maybe i should draw him something...? I don't really know what i should do for him. I don't want to do something hokey like a card or something. Any ideas? Or a link with good ideas? Thanks, Aly moreResolved Question: Help! Anniversary tomorrow!! Any ideas?
Tomorrow is my first year anniversary with my husband. I know first year is traditionally a paper gift so I thought i would pay for us to go on holiday in September. We've both agreed not for me not buy the tickets until nearer the time to get a better deal however he couldn't help but tell me he has bought me a 42" TV. Think it will look a little bad me just handing over a card! especially as no doubt a few of his friends will be round at some point! Does anyone have any ideas of something that I could give him? He is Indian if that helps any. Anyone know whats traditional for Indian couples? I'm not much of a writer, so writing him something not very good!! Lol. I know this is a last minute thing but he told me about the TV when all shops closed! Thanks!! x moreResolved Question: One year anniversary present for my husband?
Our anniversary is coming up on June 13th, and it's our one year! Yay! I don't know what I should get him - we basically have everything that we need, and anything else would be luxury. I'm mentioning that because we are on a budget, and I have maybe $200 to spend, and that's only if I find something absolutely perfect. I was thinking of a big screen TV, and I went around looking for a cheap used one - I found a 42 inch for $150, and I loved it! My husband has talked about wanting one, but only when we could completely afford it. He likes to try and guess presents, and when he guessed TV, he said "If it's a TV absolutely not - the one we have works fine, and I don't want a new one." So...there goes that idea. I didn't admit to thinking about getting him a TV, because I might still get it anyway, because I know he'd love it, and it's such a good price. We just got a new BBQ with all the fixins, we have new patio furniture, our cars run fine, he has a complete set of tools... apart from a nice TV, I can't think of a single thing that he'd like. He's not big on concerts, and with only two days off work, we really can't go anywhere really great. I need some awesome ideas, because I really want to show him that being married to him has been wonderful, and that I love the guy! Going out to dinner is a given, so that wouldn't really be the present. I would need something else. Also, I am going to get a copy of our wedding vows, print them up, and frame them - that'll cover the "paper" portion of the anniversary. I just need the big gift sorted out. Thanks for your help!I just re-read, and just wanted to let you guys know that everything that we own, we get used from craigslist. We are really good at finding awesome deals, so don't worry, we're not reckless with money!! moreResolved Question: best 1 year anniversary paper gift?

what is the gift i should give on our anniversary. for like ,1 year is paper 2 year is ? and so on it is our 15th year. moreVoting Question: 2nd Anniversary Gift Ideas (Cotton)?
My husband and my second anniversary is coming up in two months and I am looking for some unique but traditional ideas. The traditional gift is cotton and I would like to stay with that, but I don't like the ideas of sheets, towels, bathrobes, clothes, etc. We just bought a new house but we don't need cotton accessories for our home. I am very creative and would like to make something but I'm drawing a blank as to where to start. Last year for our paper anniversary I used a wood burning tool to make him a picture frame with our names and lines from our vows and in the frame a made a collage of our vows and pictures from our wedding. I also made a book of all the memories we shared together in our first year of marriage. It included our honeymoon, valentines day celebration, mini trips we took throughout the year, etc. Any ideas you may have would help me greatly, thank you! moreResolved Question: Can people give me a list of paper gifts for 1rst year wedding anniversary?

Today is our one year anniversary. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be paper the first year, right? So, I'm kind of on a budget but I would like to get my hubby a funny "paper" gift. Any ideas? moreResolved Question: I've got the traditional 1st anniversary gift of paper, now what?
In a week, my husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I decided to got with paper, the traditional gift, but it's a tough one. I bought some wonderful, thick, flower embroidered paper from Papyrus, but now I'm stuck. My original idea was to write a letter/poem on white paper, attach it to the fancier paper, and roll it (like a scroll), holding it in place with a silver claddagh ring, and place it in a suitable sized wooden box. Now I'm second guessing... we've been procrastinating getting an album of the past year (just hanging out with friends or out on the town) together. I could by a plain album and decorate that with the paper and get the photos printed off and tie a bow with the claddagh ring not too obviously lost in the bow. Which is nicer? Any other thoughts as how I can incorporate the ring/paper idea? moreVoting Question: What should I get my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary?
My boyfriend and I are both 13 years old...and our 1 year anniversary is coming up in April. I got him a jacket with his favorite band on it for Christmas and a dog tag with his name and birthday on it and on the back it said "Love, Gina" in cursive letters. I've never had a 1 YEAR! anniversary before and this is kind of a big deal. I read somewhere on the internet that it is tradition to give the gift of paper, But I still want to give him something more than that...any ideas? moreResolved Question: What should I buy my Husband for our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary?

I planned on writing a book about our lives. before me met, when we met, when we started dating, when we got engaged, when we got married, and when we had our baby. Hi, My first year anniversary is coming up, and I need help. From what I hear, the first year anniversary gift should be made of paper, which signifies unity or something. The gift idea that came to me is a scrapbook that my wife and I can use to document each of our subsequent anniversaries. The question is, where can I buy a nice scrapbook around Pasadena or Downtown LA? I've never done such a thing and have no idea... I think Target and Michaels might have it, but I would like something a bit nicer than the typical (I'll still go check those places out tho). Any suggestions? I'm making my grandparents a Golden Wedding gift hamper. I've already bought the basket to put it in, and the golden shredded tissue paper that the gifts will be wrapped in. But I'm not sure what else should go in there. Obviously I'm going to theme it gold, do I was thinking golden crunch cremes, a gold bangle, golen-shred marmalade and that kind of thing. (Don't suggest Honey, my family don't like it!) Does anyone have any ideas for gold-coloured or gold named products? Thank you! moreResolved Question: should i ask for a break/break-up?
I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year and at first the relationship was great but now he's just too needy and clingy. The problem is I hardly have time for him now because I'm currently working on my Master's degree and if I'm not in school I have to prepare lesson plans/grade papers because I'm a teacher. He spoils me constantly buying me things which can be nice but it can upset me because I don't want constant gifts from him. There's no reason for them andI hardly see him. As much as girl would love getting gifts, I'm just not into that unless there's a reason for a gift (birthday, anniversary, etc). Maybe it's because I have so much on my shoulders, a relationship isn't right a this point or maybe I'm just growing tired of him and his clingy ways. He's also getting more and more immature every time i do see him which really bothers me because I want to date a gentleman, not a teenage boy. Should I ask for a break or just break up with him? moreVoting Question: Revision (study) idea. Help!? (PICS)?
I'm in a creative mood, but i should be revising, so i want to put them together. I have to learn paragraphs (about 9 i think) about the film, 'Hedd Wyn' (it's a welsh film). One of the paragraphs I have to learn about is the theme of Love. So, my idea was to make a mini sculpture and have my paragraph on it. So i'll be (sort of) thinking about it while i'm making it and the sculpture would be more interesting to look at than a piece of paper, so i'm more likely to learn it. I was thinking of maybe doing something like this: http://www.charleshobson.com/listi/heart_det.jpg A mini version, but i don't know what the best thing would be to use to make it. Any ideas? Do you think cardboard, newspaper and paper mache would work? I don't know how it would stand up though. (I don't make sculptures, so i don't know if i'll be any good). Another thing i found was this: http://www.driftwood-dreams.co.uk/Anniversary_gifts/Heart%20in%20frame.JPG but i'm not sure about that one. And this: http://www.mountshastageneralstore.com/images/ROCK_SOLID_HEART_300.jpg (Not exactly like that, but the idea. I'd have my paragraph hanging in the middle). Unrelated question. Do you know how this was made: http://west.salkeiz.k12.or.us/news/Art%20Student%20Pictures/Gina%20Lee%20Sculpture.jpg It's really cool. moreResolved Question: Is this a lame gift for valentine's day? (Guys)?
Okay, so my bf and I have been dating for 4 years on valentine's day (it's our anniversary). We don't usually make a huge deal about it, but we do give each other gifts and stuff normally. So he's kind of a pain lol cause he doesn't really want anything that I can just go buy for him. He is looking at buying a "new" vehicle soon though, probably a used jeep cherokee. Obviously I can't afford to buy him a jeep but it got me thinking. I was thinking to help him out that I would just give him money (most likely about $100 - $150) for our anniversary to help with the jeep (and all the stuff he wants to do with it once he gets it), maybe help him pay for a lift kit or something. I want to give him the $ is a cute way, like paper clipping it to a hot wheels jeep or something (lol) and wheeling ti across the table to him, but I still feel like money is a lame gift. What do you guys think? moreResolved Question: Valentine's Day gift for him? um...yeah... need help.?

So I've gone and dug myself a huge hole. My guy and I are at our 1 year 6 month point in 2 days. I know most people wouldn't see that as a huge deal, but it's the mark of both of our longest relationships and because it's so close to Valentines Day we made the rule last year that each of us is responsible for one of the days (I got Valentines Day last year). So here I am, two days to go, and I can't find a sensible thing to buy or make! I would love to make something, given that we're both in college and have little in terms of funding as well as we don't have cars so going somewhere like the beach is out of the question, but I've made just about every suggestion I've heard: Scrapbooks Photo collages Slide shows with music Dinner with heart shaped foods Personally written poetry A silky heart shaped pillow with white frill A blanket Decorated picture frames Romantic coupon book Heck I've even sent him flowers! I had the thought of doing something with the number 579 since that's how many days we've been together (ie cut out that many paper hears and use each one to make a letter in my favourite Sonnet) but doing something to that quantity is somewhat out of my reach. I'm feeling rather lost and since I'm the ubber mushy one in the relationship I should be on top of it, but I'm pretty much spent on ideas. If anyone could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!! ~MeghanThank you both very much, but I guess I should mention some things about him. He's 21, I'm not quite there yet so bars and such are out. He doesn't like vegetables or sweets and wanted to be a chef so most of what I cook or bake is scrutinized. He doesn't like sports and spends a lot of time on his computer that my family bought for him. I give him backrubs and we have movie nights quite often already so those wouldn't be a big deal. We had a huge talk about how upset I am that I can't figure out what to do for him and he says he doesn't really know what I can do either. He is the most difficult man to please! Thanks again to those of you who are posting answers! I'm getting some good ideas for future celebrations where I'll have more time to prepare. moreResolved Question: I need ideas for a gift to make for my husband for our anniversary?

I think it’s a great idea, think how much time it would save you not having to wipe, you just swallow a few sheets with each meal and you’re good to go, it should be OK for vegetarians too. It would be a great gift idea for people who are difficult to buy gifts for, birthdays, xmas, anniversaries, fathers day, etc. just give them a lovely gift box of edible toilet paper. The world wasn’t ready for it in 2009 but I think that now the time is right for a massive worldwide launch of ETP, starting simple with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavours, then next year follow up with hot ‘n’ spicy, rocky road, and rum ‘n’ raisin flavour, I think this will be huge and I will be placing my orders early and not waiting until a week before xmas, will you join me in the ETP revolution or are you one of those people who don’t wanna try anything new? moreResolved Question: What do u think bout my 3rd Anniversary gift for bf?

It'll be just our one month anniversary next Tuesday (17th). We're not in love...yet, lol. I have this really good idea (I got the idea from my brothers fiance who made it for him when they first started dating) of decorating a jar and then filling the jar with different small peices of paper that each say something different that I like about him, then hes supposed to read a new one everyday... Sooo...would just one month be too soon for me to do something like that for him? We're both really crazy about eachother and we've never felt this way about anyone else before but still, were not in love yet (even though we both seem to think that we will be someday). Please let me know what you think! Thanks.(: By the way, if you think that this gift would NOT be good then it would be great if you could tell me a gift that you think WOULD be good. My husband and I were married in December of last year, but because he was in the Navy we just signed the papers. For our families (and ourselves) we planned to have the actual ceremony on our one year anniversary, Well as a gift, my mother bought me my wedding dress. Unfortunately, she bought it too small; I am a size 16 pants, and she purchased a size 16 dress. I've lost a little weight since then, but the wedding is vastly approaching and my dress fittings need to begin. It is so embarrassing to ask, but how much does it usually run to add a panel to a dress? It's a corset top with a lace-up back, maybe that will help. I know most dresses can be let out 2 inches, and with my undergarments that may help a bit also. moreResolved Question: Is it okay to wrap my parents anniversary gift with wrapping paper that says wedding wishes ?

My sister is getting married next month, and I don't know what to get her because of the unique circumstances. This is her third wedding, and I've already gotten her some expensive crystal and some flatware, but I'm kind of tired of giving her stuff, since she keeps getting divorced. Also, she's marrying my ex-husband, whom she met at my wedding in 2007. They were sneaking around behind my back for year before I found out about it. I wouldn't have found out at all, except the b@stard knocked her up, so it was kind of hard to miss. Now they're expecting triplets because of the IV therapy, and I have to throw them a shower before the wedding. So I'm wondering if I can get them one gift for both occasions or if I have to get them separate wedding and baby shower gifts. And do I have to get them three baby gifts? Are there any special themes for third weddings like there are for anniversaries, like "paper anniversary?"I almost forgot. It's June wedding, if that changes anything. Everyone that stops to see this question should put in their input.. the more the better! October 28th is mine and my boyfriends one year anniversary and I have a project in mind. He has told me several times that I never explain to him what and how much he means to me (I'm not very good with those kinds of things) So I've decided to put in art how I feel for him as a gift to him. I've started by writing everything out on paper and the next step is taking pictures of the words. Simply put I plan on making a photo college with what I have wrote. Problem is I don't know how I should set up the words to be taken, what picture size dimension (ex- 4x6 8x10 etc.) I would love to use Polaroids but part of me finds that not very original and more trendy than anything. I also don't have access to a Polaroid camera and I don't have that kind of money to spend. All I have is my basic run of the mill digital camera and my Holga. I love the pictures my Holga takes and the size is great.. but the film for the Holga has to be sent out to be developed and I have also had problems with this in the past taking about a month to get my pictures and I don't wanna risk that on a deadline. So I would love so creative advice from anyone and everyone! So I can make this as special and romantic as I have pictured in my head. Remember money IS and issue. Thanks to everyone ahead of time ^_~* moreResolved Question: Romantic Ideas for first wedding anniversary...suggestions welcome.?
So my wife and I are celebrating our first anniversary this weekend. My gram has been in and out of the hospital lately and I have been travelling for work, so we have not been seeing each other much lately. Here is my plan so far. I bought her a locket with two of our wedding pictures in it and also I made a coupon book for her of things I can do (just to stick with the traditional paper gift). Then I'm taking her out to the restaurant that I proposed to her at. I wanted to get a limo to take us to and from but just can't afford it. So I wanted to do someting a little different for our late night "celebration". It can't be too expensive. One idea I had was buying roses and putting roses and rose petals all over the bed and lighting some candles and playing some soft music. But does anyone else have any ideas? I want her to melt when she comes home after dinner and really want to have a loving passionate night. Not just the same old routine. This should be special. Thanks.Happy Anniversary to you TC! moreVoting Question: was it a good anniversary present?
for me and my boyfriend sixth month anniversary we decided to get each other gifts, i worked a week on mine, i hand made each of the things i gave him, i technically made two but they were counted as one present. i ended up picking up my calenders and counted the days we've been together since the faithful day he asked me to be his girlfriend after a month of dating, and i folded those tiny paper origami stars with a few hundred thin, long, yellow [his favorite color] pieces of paper, i made a paper star for each day we have been together. went to micheal's and got a medium sized glass bottle with a wooden cork for the top, and put all of the paper stars in the bottle. and it came with a message, which i rolled up and put in the bottle, the message reads: "every star is a wish, and every wish came true, cause every wish was another day i spent with you." when i gave it to him he said he loved it, but i think it was too cutesy for him, but for the next few weeks he kept thanking me for it and every time i saw him he'd mention it, smile and then kiss me ... extremely passionately. and every time i go to his house we end up watching tv in his room, the bottle is on his bed stand, and from the how the paper is now neatly folded in the bottle and in variously different spots from the last time i saw it, i say he reads it a lot. he made me a huge canvas painting saying 'Alonso and Anna' in black and blue, my favorite colors. on the bottom it says "i love you." its huge right next to my bed, i admire it until i fall asleep.by the way for some of the other people that answered saying that well he was just one of those guys that secretly hated the thing i gave him cause it was too girly. well him some more information about him, he's a girl's guy, meaning well most of his friends are girls and he's a little more feminine than other guys for example, we watched the notebook together and by the time the movie ended we were both crying ... also, his favorite band is coldplay and mine's the faceless, we're extremely different but at the same time similar, but i like that about us, we can agreed and debate on certain things. For my one year anniversary, my husband gave me a fuzzy orange notebook. More specifically, it's a paper notebook with orange fur on the outside. I was, and still am, shocked, especially since I spent a lot of time, effort, and money trying to make sure that I would be able to give him something that he really wanted. I have no idea how to respond to him now. I'm not angry, just hurt. Any thoughts or suggestions from anyone on how to handle this? Does anyone have any idea what he could have been thinking? moreResolved Question: First anniversary gift suggestion needed!?

My husband and I are celebrating our 3 wedding anniversary this weekend. We will be kid-free (wahoo!) and going on a date to a nice restaurant and maybe something afterward. I only have like $10 to spend on a gift. I will for sure make him a card and maybe a nice poem or something like that but... We have been going with the traditional milestone gifts paper, cotton, and now leather. Any suggestions as to what I can get him for fairly cheap and that can be considered romantic or fun. Any suggestions welcome.still looking for ideas... something under $10 and a picture frame is a cute idea but that would be more for me than him moreResolved Question: How can I change my rep?
Ok well first off I am NOT a bad girl. I DO NOT smoke, do drugs, I've NEVER had sex, etc. This is what I am like: *I'm kind of a slacker. OK not kind of, I AM a slacker. I'm very smart and I used to get good grades. I even qualified for gifted! But in the past year I just started not doing my work. I almost FAILED the seventh grade! My final report card for the year had D's and F's and like 1 C. *I don't always make the best decisions. Ex: Yesterday I was at my ant and uncles anniversary party which was held at our local park. Now let me just tell you this was a day FULL of bad decisions. First off I felt like going for a nice walk in the woods. Simple right? WRONG! I ended up hanging on the side of a VERY steep hill. I had nothing to hold on to. My hands and feet were dug onto the dirt. My pap with a pacemaker had to come get me. He had to jump over logs and crap to get me. We are both fine. Me and my brother went and checked it out. One slip and both e and my pap would be dead rite now. After that I walked up to my uncle's house to see his cats. I kinda forgot to tell mmy family I was leaving. When I got back my aunt told me that my mom and dad were in the woods looking for me and that they were all worried about me. After that to get my mind off everything, I took some cans of pop behind one of the party building things and started throwing them against the wall. The explosions were sooo awesome I wanted to see what would happen if I did bottles of beer. I didn't want people to wonder why I was taking beer behing the building, so I just threw em against the road. There ended up being glass all over the road. My uncle and his friends had to clean it up before someone popped a tire. My uncle said he'll NEVER forgive me for it and my gramma came up to me and said, "What the hell's wrong with you?" I went behind the building and cried. Then I went into the woods, screamed, and pretended I was hurt when they came running. Then to get away from them I crashed the party in the next building over. *I'm kind of aggressive. I'm not a bullly or anything I just know how to pick a fight. Ex: At my last family reunion my brother did something to piss me off and I tackled him into the ground. My cousin from cali was looking at me like I was I freak. *I play immature jokes. Ex: at my last family reunion we had a vote box for a bake off and I put like 10 papers in it that said "I C UNDERPANTS" *My teachers Hate me. There's probably more but that's all i can think of cuz it's late and I'm tired. No rude comments. I just wanna change a lil bit. P.S. I'm currently grounded.do not tell me to go in to therepy cuz i know thats all your gonna say.
