Resolved Question: Does my husband loves me?
I've been married to my husband for 3 yrs and been together for 7 years and we have a 2 y/o kid. We work in the same field and mingle with the same crowd. I began to notice that if I have problems with one of our Colleagues and vent to him, he never really supported me, instead he would say like I'm difficult or bitchy towards them, etc. Even if one of his patients were trashing me, he wouldn't even defend me and worse he even made an alliance with that patient. When he has problems with his Colleagues or Patients, I'm all ears to him and back him up 100 %. I was thinking he'll do the same but I was wrong.
For him I'm always the "bad guy". When we have problems with his Mother for her intrusiveness, he defends her big time. He is ready to chop off my head so-to-speak everytime I complain about his Mother.
During my birthdays or Anniversaries, we don't celebrate it. I'm used to not expecting anything from him because he doesn't believe on those special occassions. Despite his anti-anniversaries or birthdays, I make it a point to cook for him or make reservation at a restaurant or give him gift at least, any little something that will make him special. He never give me flowers ,even if it's free (we have lots of wild flowers growing in our backyard ready to be picked). Sometimes I tell myself that he is a man and he doesn't do those things.
He doesn't even wear his wedding ring, he has lots of excuses when asked. When he goes out with his friends, he tells me in fairness but I'm not allowed for my opinion or permission. He goes out when he wants to. When we have a fight (which we do most of the time), he screams or throw things at me infront of our kid. We had talked about before that we don't fight infront of our baby but he always break his promises.
Our married life is consist of work then home and work & home. We barely sleep together anymore like a normal couple should be (we work shift work and he is a night owl, so he sleeps most during days). When I'm awake, he is asleep and vice-versa.
When I'm sick, I don't see any concern or worries on his part. He only sees me or give my medication when I asked him to.
I wanted to have another child but he is adamant with this idea. He told me he is reluctant to have another baby because he feels I will leave him someday. Despite my constant struggle & close to giving up our relationship, I always reconsider my thougths because of our baby. I don't want my baby to grow up in a broken family. Despite his coldness towards me, I'm still treating him with respect becuase he is my husband and the father of my child.
I don't know why he is like this. Is this an indication that he is falling out of love towards me? Why he doesn't say so, so I know what to do. Should I stay? I'm confused or am I just over-reacting?

moreResolved Question: He's wonderful, helpful, and very handsome, and he wont say " I love you"?
My boyfriend and I have been together for just over two years. We have been living together for quite a while. I am head over heals in love with him. Here is the problem... during the span of our relationship never once has he said " I love you". Without going into to much detail, I know he has been through allot in his life. Both growing up, and being burned quite terribly by ex's. He shows that he cares with out the words. The little things mean allot to me because I know that's how he shows his feelings. Things like brushing snow off my car in the morning. Or grabbing me and extra blanket when I am cold. These are the things I treasure most. He even got me flowers and a gorgeous necklace for valentines/ anniversary just a few weeks ago. What woman wouldn't love these things? I never ask for gifts, or these kind things he does. Our relationship is very simple and equal. We split the bills; both do laundry and dishes etc. From the outside our relationship is perfect.
I feel like I am being needy in asking this, but do you think its asking to much? I just want to hear him say that he loves me. I am not asking for this every waking moment of every day. Just to hear those sweet words just once would make me indescribably happy. Like I said, he shows his love through his actions. I just feel that as a woman (and even some men would feel this) that those words are important. I have brought this up to him only a few times (twice I believe). His defense was that the term gets used to often. I agree with him on this. I feel our situation is a bit different however, seeing as the words have never been uttered. Its not like we have only been together for a few months, were talking two+ years here.
I know you’re wondering if I have told him I love him. The answer is simply no. I do not want to scare him off, or make him run. Here is an example of why I feel he might do this. While watching a sappy movie, some man confesses to the woman of his dreams that he loves her. My boyfriend’s immediate reaction was, that was a mistake. You never tell someone you love them, it always screws things up.
As I said, I know where he comes from, and can relate to his hesitance towards love. I am really becoming quite depressed over this though. I don’t feel I am asking too much to want to hear those sweet words. It is very damaging, and hurtful for me to deal with. I know he cares about me, as I am quite confident that he does indeed love me. I just need to hear those words. There is power in those few words. When I think about it, I want to brake down and cry. I just don’t know how much longer I can go on pretending it does not bother me.
So I guess I have two questions for you guys or opinions anyway.
1.) Am I asking too much of him to want to hear his love confession.
2.) How can I go about asking him again without upsetting him?
Any suggestions are truly appreciated. I am out of ideas, and my heart is braking more every day that goes by without those words being uttered.I don't think I have ever pressured him considering I have only brought up the concern two times in two years. I have told him several times I appriciate how he shows his feelings through actions to assure him I appriciate him.FYI that song is by ColdPlay
moreVoting Question: One Year Anniversary?
Okaie, so really i've never celebrated an actual anniversary with any of my past ex'es [my longest was 2 years]... i'm not sure if this is a great gift idea, but our one year is in 2 weeks. He's army reserves and is Filipino. Here's what i've gotten my man =]
-A scrapbook of our first year together
-Weighted jump rope
-Short length exercise bands
Overall i didn't spend a whole lot of money, but i definitely put in a lot of time for this. I've actually been working on the scrapbook since our first month [something told me we would make it lol] and it's really big. i got the exercise stuff because he has AIT coming up soon and needs to keep in shape.
So what do you guys/gurls think? Is this a good set up or not enough? THANKS!!!andrew n you must be a lonesome miserable single ugly little pansy to be so pessimistic you cant even see the heart i put into this. it's alright though, it's not like i'm dating your sorry behind, hahaha, why would anyone want to be with someone to bring them so down to their level just so they have someone to stand next to? hold your hand, i think not! lol maybe you should go play in the sun and pick a couple of flowers -_^
moreResolved Question: What would my folks like for their 30th wedding anniversary? Ideas?? Its tomorrow thanks?
Im 27 and would like to buy something at the store in about an hour. Something in the price range of 100 bucks give or take. I dont know if I should get something to engrave and then I can get it engraved next week after I give it to them, or should I get something that they can both use as a couple?
Are 30th wed/ann gifts supposed to be something they'll both actually use? (practical)? Or more of a keepsake...that they will never use??? Times are tough for everyone right now but I just want to give them something descent. It will be from my husband and myself. Thanks =]
(ALSO PS: BONUS QUESTION = What is an amount of money that would be typical for a man to spend on the wife for a 30th wed/ann? The 30th 'item' is pearl...so an amount? Thanks im just wondering if my dad is a cheapskate)

moreResolved Question: What to do for my husband for our first wedding anniversary? HELP?
Okay, so my first wedding anniversary is coming up next month. I want to make it really truly special but I am having trouble coming up with ideas.
All my husband will tell me is that we are going to go out to dinner, so I won't be able to make a dinner.
I plan on buying some nice lingerie to model for him, but I need some other ideas. It's hard for me to think of ideas since I don't really know what a man would like. I really want to get him a gift but other suggestions for things I could do are very welcome too. He already has a watch that he wears every day (the nicer ones will get broken because of his work environment).
I only grew up with women around and I got married young and he's the only man I've ever been with.
My husband is in the military and is very into macho military stuff and loves his Xbox and outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, etc. if that helps. He isn't really into sports very much.
I asked this earlier but I didn't get very many good responses since I posted it really early in the morning. He told me to pick out a few pieces of jewelry that he knew I liked that he could select from to get me.
But I know he is really trying hard to make it really special too. I can tell by how he acts and how he talks about it.

Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really mad.
She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"
The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Bob has been missing since Friday
A local United Way office realized that the organization had never received a donation from the town's most successful lawyer. The person in charge of contributions called him to persuade him to contribute.
"Our research shows that out of a yearly income of at least $500,000, you give not a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give back to the community in some way?"
The lawyer mulled this over for a moment and replied, "First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?"
Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbled, "Um ... no."
The lawyer interrupts, "or that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?"
The stricken United Way rep began to stammer out an apology, but was interrupted again.
"or that my sister's husband died in a traffic accident," the lawyer's voice rising in indignation, "leaving her penniless with three children?!"
The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, said simply, "I had no idea..."
On a roll, the lawyer cut him off once again, "So if I don't give any money to them, why should I give any to you?"
Two zebras are talking and one asks the other, "Am I black with white
stripes or white with black stripes?" The other replies, "Well I don't
know. You should pray to God about that and ask him." So that night he did
and God replied, "You are what you are." The next day he said to the other
zebra, "I still don't understand what I am because God just said, You are
what you are." The second zebra responds, "You must be white with black
stripes or else God would have said, Yo is what yo is."
Husband and wife are getting all aggressive in a game. The passion is heating up.
But then the wife stops and says, "I don' t feel like it. I just want you to hold the ball."
The husband says " WHAT???" The wife explains that he must not be in tune with her emotional needs as a woman.
The husband realizes that nothing is going to happen today and he might as well deal with it.
So the next day the husband takes her shopping at a big dept. store. He walks around and had her try on three very expensive outfits. And then tells his wife, We 'll take all three of them. Then goes over and gets matching shoes worth $200 each.
And then goes to the jewelry Dept. and gets a set of diamond earrings. The wife is so excited (she thinks her husband has flipped out, but she does not care). She goes for the tennis bracelet.
The husband says "but you don 't even play tennis, but OK if you like it then lets get it.'
The wife is jumping up and down. So excited she cannot even believe what is going on. She says " I am ready to go, lets go to the cash register. "
The husband says, " no no no, honey we're not going to buy all this stuff." The wife face goes blank.
" No honey - I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while."
Her face gets really red she is about to explode and then the husband says " You must not be in tune with my financial needs as a MAN!"Hey please give me a star

moreResolved Question: Can I please get a man's opinion please?
I ask for a man's opinion because I know female's are more likely to agree with me on this idea. My one-year wedding anniversary is coming up and I wanted to get my husband a meaningful gift. He is not a jewelry type of guy and is very simple so I can't think of anything good enough to spend my money on him that he would really appreciate. We're the type that takes vacations for gifts for eachother because we find those more meaningful. So we are planning a weekend in Chicago and are going to be tourists for 2 days..eat some good food...etc. But as it is our first anniversary...I do want to get him something. We went on our honeymoon to Kauai Hawaii. While we were there we snorkeled constantly at as many beaches that we could. One day at Ke'e beach we snorkeled really far out right past the inner reef (by ourselves...this was not guided)...and before we knew it we were surrounded by 5-6 endangered green sea turtles that were feeding on the reef. Some were literally 1 foot away from us. It is Hawaii state law I believe that if you even get caught touching a turtle it is a $100,000.00 fine. Anyway, it was the thing we remember most about our trip...probably one of the most amazing things we ever saw...swimming with turtles in the wild. Anyway...I found that you can actually adopt a turtle and get a certificate...photo...and means to track them if you adopt one with a satellite tracking device. I don't think of it like adopting a star...because what does your money really help there. But with this I know the money is going to that particular cause because I'd pay directly to the wildlife company. Do you think this is gay or would be stupid in his eyes? He's a pretty sentimental guy...he keeps little notes I leave him and everything...what do you think. Should I keep looking?
moreVoting Question: need anniversary gift for romantic man. advice please...?
We have been dating 1 yr soon. I need a romantic or personalized gift as I know this is what he will want. I do not want to do photo in a frame (he has dozens), photo album (already has one of "us", lingerie (we use new stuff all the time), and we cannot go out to eat or to places of entertainment as he is in a really small rural town and there isn't anywhere for like a 1 hr drive away (I know, I know)! Anyways, please send me links to websites or items you might think of as good. Chocolates, flowers, or food won't cut it. He doesn't do much but sit at home and use his computer or do crosswords when he is off work so I am not sure what to get him. He is into sports but not anywhere where he can go to them, paranormal shows, and history. Any suggestions? I have an idea of what he is getting me and it is very romantic and elaborate. I am only looking to spend under $300 but I want it to be something that he can treasure long term.

moreResolved Question: what should I get my husband....?
Our 1 year anniversary is on Saturday and I have no idea what to get him.
I am asking for suggestions in this section because my husband is Muslin... but I am not.
Usually we exchange gifts on anniversaries so I feel the need to get him something....
What should I get him? Or what would a Muslim man enjoy for their anniversary?
Thanks! :)when I said "we" I meant us Americans... He never heard of an anniversary until we got together....I don't expect anything from him at all since I know its not his tradition.

moreVoting Question: What are some good gift ideas for a man going back to Iraq?
My boyfriend is coming home on leave and I need some gift ideas for his birthday and our 2 year anniversary. The problem is, he'll be going back to Iraq so it has to be something that he can have there. Thanks.Thank you. However, he is going to be home. I have sent him care packages, but I'm looking for more gift type things that will still be okay when he goes back, instead of the basics.

moreResolved Question: Birthday Gifts for Girlfriend?
Can a man fix a squeaky door? No problem. Repair a dripping faucet? Piece of cake. Program the TV’s remote? Without a doubt. Can he find a romantic anniversary gift? Well he did fix the squeaky door, right? Lets face it, as men we can do a lot of things, but understanding romance or worse yet romantic gifts, just is not one of our stronger points.
Please help! I need ideas for websites to buy birthday gifts for girlfriend!!

moreResolved Question: Really wicked and unusual anniversary gift ideas!!!?
Hi, its our 3rd wedding anniversary in September and I am really stuck for ideas for what to get him! He can't really think of anything he would particularly like either, which makes it harder (why are men so difficult lol).
We are going away for a romantic weekend and I would really like to treat him to a special gift, something a bit more unusual then a CD or some gift vouchers, something that he will love and remember. He works so hard and deserves something great.
To narrow it down;
he is 25,
loves rock and metal music like me,
likes days out but doesn't like crowds,
is not fussed about designer aftershave or clothes!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)Hi sorry forgot to mention he doesn't drink much if at all...you go and do your own washing up lol
moreResolved Question: My husband is leaving me but our 10th anniversary is Friday.?
Should I acknowledge this day? Get a card? Slap him with divorce papers? What if he gets me something? Do I beat him with it? Do I accept a gift from a man who needs to leave me because I am "driving him insane"? He wants to go, Yes he is a jerk but I, for the sake of our family can tolerate his jerkiness. So any ideas on how to handle this?
moreVoting Question: why cant i walk away?
Ive been w/the same guy for over 7 years, almost 8. We also have a 5 year old together, whom is going to be the 1 they'll suffer the most if i do leave. So do I, do i leave a man who never shows me in any way that he cares about me except when he wants sex, then he does a complete turn around & is the nicest guy. When he's not, he is dis-respectful & he can be so dam cold! He doesn't do anything with his son except play fucking video games w/him & when their doing that it seems like he's yelling at our son for not playing the game right. He also gives our son rides on the love of his life (at he time) his go-cart, which he literally works on 24-7. All day & night he's f**king around w/that go-cart. He doesn't do anything with me or our son together as a family, EVER!! He doesn't even barley spend holidays w/us. He doesn't ever take us anywhere, we never do anything fun. My folks have bought every single piece of clothing my son has ever had! & so much more! But ofcorse he doesn't acknowledge any of it! My folks have helped us out SO much & he acts like its nothing! I don't even know if he's ever even thanked them, for anything! He is a mean man with major anger issues that he denies. Yes he has hit me, & i told myself i would Leave him if it ever happened again, this last time was the worst & yet i still stayed! I don't know why & I hate myself for not being stronger but he's got a hold over me that i cant explain. The few times he's given me something (out of no where) he always took them back, other than that he never has given me flowers not even a card on our anniversary, all 7 of 'em! ! Actually he's given me 3 things for my bday & xmas that i was able to keep & all 3 were the same thing - a gift card, from the same store. Anything else he has given me he ended up taking back with out me knowing & sold whatever it was, spending the money on himself! He thinks im so ungrateful since he pays the rent with money that he doesn't have to do shit for! He doesn't have a real job & what he does do is nothing to be proud of! He blows hundreds of dollars on himself & his toys yet he cant even give me 200.00 for groceries. when I ask him for gas money, which he drives my truck whenever the hell he wants, he gets all pissy! I cook for this man everyday, i do his laundry & im always cleaning up after him because he doesn't do a dam thing around the house, He doesn't even throw his trash in the trash can, He's gotten so many parking tickets while driving my truck, that i have credit agency's after me now since he refuses to pay them! he's gotten us evicted or we were told to leave almost every place we've ever lived. He has literally almost ruined me 7 my life so why the fuck cant i walk away? I know i need to leave him for the sake of my son but i don't have anyway, any money to do it! I feel stuck & strapped down without having any strength to brake free! I love the man he was when we 1st started seeing each other, but he's long gone & I know this. I guess i was just hoping i was wrong & that he would change but they never change, do they?? I know my son is going to hate me when we do leave because he wont understand, the thought of that scares me to death! My son is all i have & for him to hate me will just make it that much harder!! So please can anyone give me an answer ? can anyone give me any kind of hope? Im scared & I don't know if i have it in me, pathetic isn't it? & to those of u who are ready to insult me in anyway for being weak, just remember u haven't walked in my shoes, u have no idea how ive lived my life so don't say shitty things please, why would u want to shove someone down in the dirt who is trying to find away out of her situation!

moreResolved Question: Our first wedding anniversary. Men's opinions especially.?
My husband and I will be married one year in a few weeks. I was wondering if this would be considered something a man would enjoy as a gift. On our honeymoon (his choice of location btw) we ate breakfast at this fantastic restaurant that he still talks about fairly often it was so good. This restuarant has a gift shop where you can purchase the mixes for some of their signature items which we had at our meal. I was thinking of ordering all of them and recreating that breakfast for us the morning of our anniversary. I also plan to give him a fairly expensive new watch as well. Would this be something that you would enjoy or is it too sappy? Should I just give him the watch and have our wedding cake after dinner and be done with it. Any other ideas are welcome. Thanks!Haha J L. The above mentioned breakfast was so good I got pregnant not 3 hours afterward....resulting in the 2 month old that tends to hinder bathtub escapeds lol. I wouldn't trade it for the world though.
We will still have our wedding champage and cake after a good supper...I just thought the breakfast would make the whole day special instead of just dinner.
