Voting Question: How to decorate my new room?
We recently moved to a new house and I'm planning on redoing my entire room. The color theme I am going with is ocean blue, black, and white. My furniture is cherry wood (Sleigh bed, Chester drawer, corner desk, and a dresser with mirror) and my floors are a dark oak. My current bedding and curtains is/are- http://cache.jcpenney.com/storeimages/large/0900631b8157ee43L.jpg All my picture frames are black. Is this a good idea? How should I paint the walls? What kind of decorations should I throw in?Oh I guess I forgot to mention that we have moved into a bigger house, and the rooms are I think 15x14 with walk in closets. moreResolved Question: The Rainbow Bridge short story help?
Rough rough first brainstorm draft. Any comments or direction? Any help is welcome. Bliss? Your turn ;) Rainbow Bridge by Ashlyn Valentino Charlie flew through the front door of the townhouse calling grammy’s name, he took a great picture with his digital camera of this blue bird attacking the neighbor’s cat on his digital camera. Bam! The front door slams against the wooden bumper on the wall as he cavorts down the front hallway. “GRAMMY!!!! Heeyyy Grammyyy!” he blares. Maybe she’s out back in the garden? Jogging through the kitchen Charlie notices the back door is open and squints outside as he skips through the doorway KABLAM…. The screen door, or what is left of it, buckles and pops out of the track as the screen rips out of the frame. “Ooh Charlliieee! Are you ok??” Grammy frantically projects from the back of the yard. Charlie’s straightens his cockeyed coke bottle glasses and rubs his head, but feels lucky he held onto the camera by the wrist cord. His eyesight hasn’t been what it used to be. In 6th grade Charlie was diagnosed with acute stigmatism and the doctors said he will probably be 80% blind by the time he graduated high school in about 4 years. The only real hope is if somehow gets eye transplants. But with grammy’s social security a sole source of income, and limited healthcare, he would have to make do with really thick glasses. For now he spent his summer months taking pictures and playing in the giant oak tree in the empty lot across the street. Which just so happened to be there even back when grandpa was growing up in this neighborhood. And just before he died, he build a treehouse for Charlie in that tree. It was so high up he could see out across the neighborhood over the rooftops! Especially if he climbed up on the roof of the treehouse and climbed out on this one branch that arched upward, grandpa used to say it was the arch of the rainbow. A rainbow bridge to the heavens. It’s been 2 years since grandpa passed away. Last summer Charlie built a special platform at the peak of the arch in honor of his grandpa. Charlie held his head in a stunned dramatic pose as grammy gave him the once over looking for blood. “Anything broken?” “Ouch, just my ego” “Well come on inside and show me your pictures while I make you some lunch” Mom was in a car accident and died a year before grandpa. Her and her boyfriend were killed New Years Day. I never knew my dad. Mom said he was a freebird and moved out to California. Or was that free … loader… I can’t remember. Either way, I don’t remember him. After lunch grammy told me to go up to the attic and get bring down the big fan since she heard that morning on the Today Show that there was going to be a heat wave hitting the Charlotte area near where they lived. So I wandered up to the second floor hallway and grabbed the rope hanging down from the ceiling. Down came the steps leading up to the attic. And up I went, clicked on the lightbulb cord and felt the heavy stuffy humid air suffocate my lungs. Found a crate, opened it up, oh there’s a cape, let’s try it on, pretty cool, must have been grandpa’s. Let’s try it on shall we? Charlie buttoned it around his neck and immediately felt like a super hero skipping down the stairs with the fan, into the kitchen, oh my gosh he noticed he can see! OK, where to go from here. I started, now some ideas.the asterisks above in the first few lines is not a bad word, it's "kok-eyed". I can't spell it the way it's supposed to.I'd love to expand and embelish, I went fast towards the end because I got tired of writing :) hehe I'm much better at editing and embellishing rather than writing a plot from scratch.thanks agilebrit for all the good info! Yeah, I know it's a mess, I just literally threw it together to break the ice. It's really quick and dirty, and the last part is just me rambling to get some ideas thrown on paper (let's put it on shall we, etc.). I like the sound effects though, but I'll cut back on punctuation. And of course I haven't even begun to check POV or tense. But I'll keep it in mind :)SO, start in the attic... new title. Got that Bliss?? Work on it and post to comment ;)bliss, it's summer, he's in school, the doctors said when he graduates high school in 4 years he could be mostly blind.... in 6th grade he was diagnosed.... he's 14. And i didn't just throw this piece together silly, it's just a brainstorm, an splattering of words, not even a story yet. I just wanted some ideas on how to go forward....brainstorms as answers... now that he found the cape, now what?ps. aww Bliss! Feel better! Take care of yourself! Drink lots of fruit juice and eat soup. Stay hydrated!! moreVoting Question: What color should the wood work in my new baby's room be?
I am expecting my first baby in August and I am having trouble making a decision on what color I should do the picture frames, trim and shelving. My husband wont let me paint so i came up with a solution to do fabric squares on one wall. I will staple the fabric up and then cover the staples in a square pattern with a small piece of trim. The rest of the walls are a tan color very neutral. and the bedding colors are green and blue. The crib color is a honey oak color. I really need to know if I should paint the trim white or another color or if I should stain it the color of the crib. The same goes for the shelves and the picture frames. Any helpful suggestions would be great. Thanks so much. moreResolved Question: What is a good color for a bedroom with oak wood furniture?

it's about a girl whose father was killed in a mining accident when she was little, and she sets off to look for him later on in the book not believing he is dead. thanks for reading....please comment and tell me what you think (honest opinion, 10 points!) My name is Gem Johnston. No one calls me Gemini. Not anymore. Years ago when I was little, I was known only as Gemini. Everyone said I had a unique name. The first question people would ask my parents when they met me was, “Is that her birth sign?” The reply was always no; my parents didn’t believe in horoscopes or astrology or the like. This is the story of my name. My first four years were my happiest. I was full of spunk. I loved both of my parents, but I was a Daddy’s girl. We both loved the outdoors. In the evenings, just before the sun kissed the sky goodnight, he and I would take a hike behind our house. There was merely an old wooded construction area overgrown with weeds, but he called it our personal jungle. Along the way we’d fight off fierce leopards, hoot with the monkeys in the trees, slither in the grass with vipers and flap our wings with the beautiful toucan. We were brave explorers going on an adventure, toting backpacks with canteens and binoculars. Daddy spent one whole summer building me a secret hideout in a cluster of dead oak trees. When I heard the tap-tapping of hammers and the buzzing of power tools, I rushed outside knowing he was home from work. It was finished early one Saturday morning, and I was thrilled as I crawled inside. To me it was a magical world that should have belonged in a fairytale, not just five minutes from home. A stream flowed through my hideout, where I could wade in the water and poke around in the mud for squirming baby eels. There was enough space for Daddy and I to share grape popsicles and peanut-butter sandwiches inside. My hideout was always dark and cool. Surrounded by towering oak walls, I often spent all day pretending I was a fairy living in Neverland or a princess trapped in a dungeon, waiting for a handsome prince to rescue me. When I was four, my life was turned upside down. To this day, the details I recall of the afternoon it happened continue to haunt me. Every Friday, Daddy and I went fishing together. That Friday in October, I decided to go ahead to our fishing site and wait for him. I remember putting on my new sweater with pink lining and lime-green stripes. I remember walking the half-mile to the sea all by myself, bamboo pole and squid lures and red plastic cooler in hand. I remember carefully making my way down the rocky cliff that jutted out into the crashing waves. I knew this path by heart; Daddy had taken me fishing from a week after my birth. He fished for a living before he married my mom, and he still fished for sport after that. I grew up with a similar love for the ocean. I have photos of us framed and propped up on the dresser in my room. I look at them every day. There are pictures of my tiny newborn self, wearing a button-down wool coat over my onesie and covered with a blanket to protect me from the icy wind. I was strapped into my car seat, placed right next to Daddy as he fished. Another picture showed my wide eyes, staring at a flopping Atlantic mackerel Daddy dangled above me as we posed for the camera. The last picture was my favorite. It was a silhouette of both of us sitting on the black rocks, his arm around me. It was sunset. I was a year old. I don’t have many memories from when I was that young, but I can still feel the sea spray that refreshed the coast and the wind whipping through my baby curls. I can taste the saltiness in the air and hear the sound of the waves and the faint skittering of rock crabs. I can feel the soft navy nylon of Daddy’s windbreaker that I buried my face in whenever the rough waters crashed over his lap. That afternoon I sat for hours, waiting excitedly for Daddy to come home so we could fish together. It wasn’t yet dark when my mom came to get me. I knew something was wrong because Daddy wasn’t there. He worked in a coal mine in the mountains, miles from our house. Mom carried me home, gave me dinner and sat me down next to her on the couch. I wasn’t sure what the words “explosive accident” meant. But I remember the look in her eyes, all puffy and bloodshot from crying, as she tried to explain to me that Daddy was gone. Gone, never and forever, words like that, are too far from the grasp of a young child. Mom was gone when she went downstairs after tucking me in bed. Our tabby cat was gone when he went to sun himself out on the porch. Forever was the long afternoon I’d waited for Daddy to come home. I remember staying up by the window all night, watching and waiting for that familiar creamy-white Toyota to pull up in the driveway. I knew it wouldIt always had. It never did. All I saw was rain splashing the street, as if the sky and all the angels were crying with me. That very day my name changed from Gemini to Gem. It was never official; people just stopped calling me Gemini. I never exactly understood why. Maybe they couldn’t bear the pain of the memories that flooded back whenever they spoke my name. The sadness and shock of my daddy’s death never left the minds of those who loved him, especially me. I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest and stomped on until it was as flat and worn as the soles of my sneakers. I was an entirely different person.Daddy picked my name three years before I was born. He loved the stars so much that he named me after them, a constellation called Gemini that resembles two people holding hands. I would look for my namesake every night, cloudy or clear. I remember Daddy carrying me outside late at night and pointing out all the constellations to me. Together we’d look for the North Star, Leo the Lion, the Southern Cross, Cassiopeia the Queen, Orion the Hunter, the Little Dipper and the Big Dipper. We stargazed until Mom called from the porch step, announcing it was my bedtime. Then he’d take my hands and I would take his, clinging on for dear life, and he would twirl me around and around in the air. We would pretend we were flying past all the stars, the sun and all the planets, waving to comets and moons as they passed. It was as if a magic spell was cast throughout the sky. At four, I couldn’t understand why my daddy wouldn’t come back. I continueto retreat to my oak hideout every afternoon, where I’d wait patiently for him to come and sweep me up in his arms. I stayed as late as I could, often until dark. Today, I’d tell myself, he’ll come today. For the first few months, Mom would come outside to sit with me. She gently insisted he wasn’t coming back today, or the next day, or the next, so I shouldn’t wait. I listened, but I didn’t believe it. Every evening before sunset I packed my canteen and binoculars and waited for my fellow adventurer. I tried to search for the wild jungle animals myself, but my imagination didn’t remember what they looked like. They never came out of their hiding places for me. Every Friday I went to our fishing spot. I could feel Daddy’s presence beside me on the bench, and I knew I just had to wish a little harder until he appeared with his fishhooks and reel and cooler. Every night I walked onto our lawn. I wanted my daddy to spin me in the air and take me flying through the universe. But the magic had disappeared, and the sky was nothing but a dreary black dotted with stars. Years passed, and Mom grew concerned. She took me to so many psychiatrists I couldn’t remember them all. I was no longer her daughter, but a “troubled child” who couldn’t grasp the concept of death. I wasn’t stirred by this new label. I knew it wasn’t true, but that only Daddy and I could understand that. I decided to label myself. I was the girl waiting for her daddy to come back for her, because he would. I still am.sorry its a little long i couldnt fit it all moreResolved Question: What do you think my poem means? what do you think about it? please and thank you ^_^?

I'm not sure how good it is and I've been editing it for a bit....?
At this moment, I don’t know what was making me more nervous. The looming Hogwarts castle in front of me that had been the center point of most of my thoughts since Mrs. Lankins had mentioned it. Or the extremely intimating man beside me, who my memory (?) indicated was called, Severus Snape, who kept throwing me looks similar to if I had killed his one true love or something. Honestly, he hadn’t stopped glaring at me since he appeared outside the carriage, and I could have sworn I saw the tip of his wand, pointing in my direction, more than once. What could I have possibly done to tick him off? Unless…was Sirius right? Were my dreams memories? Had the obliviate thingamajig that Mrs. Lankins had mentioned, really been cast on me? But even if both of them were right. If my memory had been erased and I was slowly recovering it through headaches and dreams, the time frame was all wrong. I mean, in my ‘memory’ Snape had been around my age, he now looks well beyond that. At the very least, 15 years older or so, and if that was the case, which it is, then how am I still 16? How come I have a childhood? Albeit not a great one, but still I had it. So it’s not like someone made me forget my life and froze me in time. Only to ‘wake me up’, implant new memories, then place me in a mental asylum… Hold on, you know, with everything I’ve discovered lately… Having finally reached the top of the castle steps, the two enormously large oak doors swung open, revealing to me, for the first time, I think, the inside of Hogwarts castle. It truly was an amazing sight. Everything was just so… I had seen pictures of the inside of castles before, in books at the orphanage, but to see one up close…was the ceiling really that high? Stepping inside, I could see, what seemed to be the dining hall. As there were four, extremely long, tables both placed upon either side of the large candlelit room. In which the candles appeared to be floating from the ceiling... Woah. I thought. That's different. I tilted my head, still staring at the blue floating candles. And kinda...cool. I turned my gaze back to the tables, that, at the moment, were filled with students. Various house colors, different per house and per table, adorning, their otherwise, black uniforms. The feast had already started, it seemed. Not a big suprised, considering how long it had taken me to get here. I could clearly see Draco among the students, sitting at the far right table, imitating to his fellow Slytherins, the ones wearing the colors green and silver along with their black robes, the act of crushing a nose. Huh? Wonder that is about? In the center of the room, was a small line of students, that appeared to be waiting to wear a large ancient looking pointed hat. That must be the sorting, I thought as I heard the word, Ravenclaw, shouted out. Causing an older looking woman to remove the hat from a small boy, allowing him to jumb off the stool and join, what must be, the Ravenclaw table. Another new student, a girl, taking his place wearing the hat. Above where the sorting was taking place, was yet another table. Where it looked liked the teachers were seated, as they were clearly not apart of the student population. My gaze automatically was drawn towards the head of the table. Towards the Albus Dumbledore I had heard so much about. He was older than even I had expected, an extremely long white beard extending from his chin and disapearing underneath the table, but he had a certain air about him, even discernable from my distance. moreResolved Question: Inspiration for a color to paint this mirror?
I was in a junk shop the other day (very dangerous place for me to be), and well, I fell in love with this huge antique mirror. At $15, I just couldn't pass it up, plus it will fit perfectly by my stove. It appears to be an oak frame, but it is stained a very very dark brown. I don't care for dark wood, so it will have to be painted a new color. It's 50"highX22"wide, so no matter what color I paint it, it will be a huge presence in my kitchen. My kitchen is all white. I do have a few aqua blue accents and a few yellow/peach accents (the dish towels and curtains). I really can't envision painting it peach or yellow. I was thinking aqua blue might be nice, but again, I can't quite picture a giant aqua mirror. White would blend in too much, I'm trying to add a little color but I'm not sure about incorporating a whole new color. Do you think aqua would be good, or do you have another suggestion? Just looking for some other people's thought's. Thanks :-) Also, if it helps you picture my situation, my entire kitchen is only 10'X7', and is galley style. The mirror will be on the back wall, which is currently empty, and yes, it fits. moreResolved Question: a rectangular picture frame is to be 8 in. longer than it is wide. dennis uses 84 in. of oak to frame the pict?

My Dream House My dream house will be a masterpiece, full of beauty. It will contain a grand family room, a gorgeous dining room, connected to a stainless steal appliance kitchen and the master suite, which will be my favorite room. My family room is grand. My brick fireplace, placed in from of my comfy cream rap round couch. Above my fireplace, hanging on the cream colored wall is a forty-inch Samsung flat screen TV. In the corner of the family room is my blue fluffy and comfy recliner, which was bought for my father when he comes to visit. The best thing about this room is the popcorn Machine, you can pop some popcorn before you watch a movie and then you can sit down with a big bowl of it. Connected to my flat screen is my V.C.R my D.V.D player and my movie projector. This allows us to play any type of movie, at any given time. The speakers built into the walls, and underneath the couch allows the surround sound to shake the house and to invite you into whatever movie you are watching. The flooring of the family room is a oak hardwood, with brown and beige area rugs, which I would place in front of the couch. On the left wall there is a window about three feet by three feet, with beige, cream, and brown curtains. This window allows just enough light in to lighten up the room. My family room will feel welcoming as soon as I open up the front door to let you in, you will feel warm, and comforted by the love my home will bring. My gorgeous dining area is a romantic place to eat, while it contains a beautiful chandelier above the chestnut ding table, which can place up to eight people. Most of the light comes from an enormous six-foot window with cherry red curtains, which is located at the fare end of the room, facing the back yard. My old faded chestnut grandfather clock was bought from an antique auction; I placed it opposite of the archway in, which you come into the dining room from the kitchen. The kitchen is a fun stainless steal appliance kitchen with stainless steal counters too. The details in my kitchen will be extravagant with hand towels having pictures of apples on them, and my fridge even having apple shaped magnets. The cream tiled flooring is heated throughout, so when you making a pot of coffee in the morning your little toes will still stay warm. The best thing about my kitchen will be the window above the sink with curtains that contain apples on it. But if you don’t want to take your time to decorate and set up the table in the dining room you can just sit down and enjoy dinner, lunch, breakfast, in your kitchen at you finished oak table that holds a family of four, and the lighting overhead is a ceiling fan with an oak finish and energy conserved lights. The master suite is full of relaxing in my Jacuzzi and lighting the fireplace to enjoy a warm bathroom. In my master bathroom I have heated cream tiled floors with light blue area rugs. There are no windows in my bathroom because my bathroom is all-full of privacy. The fireplace in my bathroom is wonderful; it is one of the ways it keeps my bathroom warm in the winter. The toilet and shower are on the same wall, and my Jacuzzi is right on the other side of the wall, which contain s the two bathroom sinks and gigantic mirror in which I placed a light fixture above. My bed is right there too the best thing is, is that you can locate my bathroom from the hallway and my bedroom. So, my bed is king sized with oak finished nightstand, dresser, and the frame for my bed. While I lay there at night I can watch TV on the flat screen, and listen with my surround sound. My fireplace is placed right under my flat screen, and my cream area rug right in front of that. The lighting in my room are the lamps, and the ceiling light. They are LED so then I can save a little money and have a brighter room. So I think that the master suite is my favorite place to be, cuddled up in my covers all day long with a fire going and watching TV with Tivo. My dream house will be the best place to be and I will love it forever, since its what I have always dreamed of. let me know what i need to correct, and what is good, tell me what to redo and how to fix. and let me know whether or not the conclusion is long enough. and whether or not the pareagraghs are good. i am a freshman in high school. so help me if you can please:) moreResolved Question: My writing sucks, so could anyone give me some pointers?
Ok, so I know my writing is pretty sucky - but this bit of writing is for a group assignment that I need help to write my part (as I so don't want to let my friends down). Anyway, if anyone could offer some tips or whatever on my part of the description it'd be a great help. Background info; the description is of a husband's (Paul) dead wife, this is what I have got: In the very centre of this eclectic collection was Paul's most cherished possession; a painting of a young women in a frame of gold leaves. As he had done so many times over the years, Paul merely sat in his chair, drank his brandy, and stared at the painting. No matter how long he might sit and stare, he would never tire of the euphoric sense that the woman’s face brought. To Paul each stroke of paint was a subtle masterpiece in it’s own right; a minute intricacy that was only outshone by the beauty of the whole. Surrounded by a garden of bluebells and tulips, and perched upon a bench of the finest oak was the woman that so inspired Paul’s feelings of euphoria. Strands of blonde hair fell about her shoulders and chest on to the blue silk taffeta dress she was wearing. Her hands were held in her lap and her body rigid; the sunlight arched across her face creating an almost angelic complexion; while her slender chin, roseate cheeks and the light freckles upon her nose formed the very picture of perfection that Paul held so dear. Yet of all the brushstrokes used to forge such a vision, none were so delicate and intricate as those which captured her stare, such passionate blue eyes that hinted of immortality and forever transcended the loneliness that Paul now felt. -------------------> Please don't say it's just bad and offer no help. I've never written before, here is the first few paragraphs of a novel I want to write. Should I stop right now and do some learning or is it near to a standard that I could carry on and learn on the job? Dr Michael Day's cottage was bare, sitting surrounded by farmland in the drizzling, rolling countryside of Oxfordshire. Through the living room window, fell a muted excuse for daylight, which lethargically reflected off the polished oak floors to the bare white walls where pictures once hung. In his left hand was his usual 11am glass of scotch, as yet un-sipped. In his right a shiny framed picture of his wife and daughter. He thought he would miss this place and his work at the university - but as this day had approached it had all come to mean so little to him. "All loaded mate" came a shout though the front door letterbox. With an ear to the door, the removal man waited only momentarily for a response, then hurried to the van loaded with the Day’s family possessions. In the last two months Day had gone from shy but well respected physics lecturer and devoted family man, to a widower staring into the precipice of alcoholism. This was his last chance, a new start. While his research may languish in the beat up brown leather satchel on his lap, it was about all he had left right now to keep him from taking the leap into that scotch he held on so tightly to. moreResolved Question: a rectangular picture frame is to be 8in longer than its width. dennis uses 84in of oak to frame the picture.?

The Forest of No Escape: My nightmare started like this. I was standing in a deserted forest facing a split pathway, both leading to opposite directions in a deserted forest. It was the middle of the night. A storm was blowing. Wind and rain rippled the oak trees along the pathway. Snakes, lizards, and scorpions rattled along dead trees or nearby water streams. Owls and crows echoed throughout the forest. A forest, I thought. I couldn’t see much at the time so I wasn’t sure how I knew. I fell to my knees, the winds current began to overpower. I knew at this rate I was good as finished. I could feel the breeze of winds shivering down my spine. Then I heard voices, but the wind kept blowing. The voices began to fade away as the winds began to lift me. Then slowly and slowly I was reaching a higher ground. A dash of wind struck with a massive pulse to my arms. I had let go from the pathway dirt, luckily got a grip onto a branch from a nearby tree. I could hear cracks as the branch began to break off. Rain pelting my spine, I could feel the pain as my spine was breaking into two. Crack! The branch split in half as it flew into the air, as I followed it into the air. I couldn’t breathe properly, as I looked up in agony, I saw a flash of light striking toward me… Link.. Link… Link! I sat bolt upright, shivering in my bed. There was no storm. No snakes, lizards, or scorpions. The morning sunlight filtered through my bed room windows. My head began spinning from all the confusion. There was a knock on my bedroom door, my mom called, “Link! You’re going to be late for school!” For some reason, the dream kept reappearing in my head. Warning me about something, but I couldn’t quiet grasp it out. “Come on, dear” my mom called again. I quickly rushed out of bed and got a hold of something. For some reason I felt as if I was going to faint. I could barley begin to see, and then everything went blank. I began to open my eyes, as my head still felt as if it was in agony. “Oh Link! Your finally awake, do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting,” my mother called out. “Ahh where am I?” “Don’t worry darling, your safe here with Dr. James.” “So, your name is Link is it not,” asked Dr. James. I could barely speak at the moment, but I managed to respond back. “Y—yes,” I replied. It was as if my eyes began to fade away as my sight became slim. For some reason, the dream from last night kept reappearing, as it’s trying to warn me about something. Then it hit me, the voices I heard! I knew it had to do with something from the voices. I tried to remember, but my brain went blank. “Link!? Link!? Link!? I think we lost him,” James cried out. “I need everyone to step outside, this is a job for Dr. James.” I kept trying to remember, but this doctor named James wouldn’t shut up. My mother had stepped out with all the other patients, it was just me and some Dr. named James. I looked up and saw him reaching out for his pair of glasses. Just his freckles gave me the creeps. I quickly looked away. Between two fragile windows was a picture frame hanging off the red coated paint. I quickly took a glimpse at the wooden frame. "You know your little run in with the law cost me alot of time and a lot money right" Sincere told his brother, Darius, who sat in front of his desk. They were in Sin's twelve-bedroom mansion Old Westbury, New York. It had took hired construction workers over four months-from March to now July- to remodel the mansion the way Sincere and his wife Donna wanted. The room they were in now was Sincere's home office he had redecorated to look similar like the President's oval office but with calm colors. Sin sat behind his brown oak desk in his customized thrown-like leather chair looking at his brother who sat in a chair. On the freshly-painted walls were framed pictures of celebrities Sin had taken pictures with-LL Cool J, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, and many R&B singers and rappers. He even had flicks with politicians like State Prosecuter Robert Valentine District Attorney Kevin O'Reilly. Darius Frazier was Sincere's 21 year old youngest brother and a member in Sin's organization, BMF or Black Mafia Family. He had just come home after serving 8 months on Rikers Island awaiting trial for a murder he commited in broad day light. Darius aka D-Nice was having problems with a rival in the projects he worked at -the lucrative 1800 Brownsville Tower building in East New York- named Roc Head. Roc Head was a older cat who felt he deserved his due and began pitching $5 bags of dope in Dariu's building stealing clientale away. DNice warned him to stay out of the building, as no threat out of respect for the man. He knew Roc's murder game as well as anybody else-the most infamous one he heard was how Roc killed his own righthand man and brother Dutch in front of Dutch's aunt Patrice and got away with it-. A few weeks later, after he was warned, Roc was caught dealing in the building after Darius warned him. Roc charged at him after they exchanged words. D-Nice stopped Roc in his tracks as he fired five shots -three in the stomach and two just rang out-from his nine millimeter pistol he carried at all times. After the shooting he turned himself in a week a later, April 19, 1990, at the behest of his brother. Sincere had assured him he would handle the problem all though he would have to do at the most eleven months on Rikers Island. He dispatched his right hand man, Prime, to make sure a not guilty verdict was handed down. Prime paid off the key witnesses and the one's he couldn't pay off he had them intimidated. The witness list, which was seven people,- a nurse, subsitute teacher, drug addict, pastor, security guard, mail man, and a single mother-began dropping more and more after each court date. It took Prime four months to get the key witness, Pastor Roy C. Williams to go along with a considerable bribe. Pastor Williams had been outside preaching to the youth when he heard five gunshots and saw D-Nice run out with blood on his shirt and a pistol in hand he identified as a .45 beretta. The pastor had been a gun dealer before turning his life over to God and could identify guns easily. Ironically, bullet casings removed from Roc's body was .45 shell casings. His testimony could have put D-Nice away for life. Prime paid him $80,000 and the Pastor came back for more which ended up being $115,000. All together the trial ran Sincere $430,000 for the witnesses and lawyer fees. Not to mention much lost income from drug operations. Prime attended the trial (two days earlier) to make sure things went according to the way he planned it. To be on the safe side Sincere employed famed and crooked defense attorney Sid Silverstein in case the witnesses were to change up at the wrong moment Silverstein would rip them a new one (verbally that is). Jermaine aka Prime brought along top enforcers Undie, Bird, and Dead eye (who was arrested a week ago for drug posession) to intimidate the witnesses even more while they testified. The jury returned with a vote of not guilty verdicts on all charges-murder in the first degree, gun and drug posession, and intent to sell, in less than two hours. "Yeah I know I messed up man" D-Nice admitted. His facial expressions said he was genuially sorry and pissed at himself. The whispers had already started about how D-Nice was to immature to run a building, let alone a drug operation, and how he wasn't built for the streets. He heard it all. 26-year old Sincere stared at his younger brother and didn't know how to break the news to him. He had to demote him, in rank and in operation. While D-Nice bidded his time on Rikers Island he and Jermaine had a private talk. Sin wanted D-Nice to continue working in the lucrative Brownsville Towers but Prime thought otherwise. Prime explained if he allowed D-Nice to cost the organization thousands of dollars and then go back to making easy money it would look like nepotism. Alot of the organization's members would probably leave the crew leaving them weak in the streets. Sincere thought heavily on what Prime told him two months ago. moreResolved Question: WANT 10 POINTS?...Click here and help me with this math?

i'm not one to ask for stuff, even for my birthday or christmas i can never come up with ideas just cause i HATE asking. well, we're getting married in May and our families are already bugging us about what we want. we dont know. thing is, we're getting our first home in the next month. my mom threw us an engagement party in november, and our families bought us so much stuff (not that we had anywhere to put it) - picture frames, albums, dishes, matching kitchen canisters, spoon rest, salad tongs, glasses, mugs, my grandma got us monogramed towels for the bathroom, toaster, coffee maker... ever since i was younger my mom has always gotten me some sort of kitchen thing (waffle maker, crape makers, pots and pans, bakeware.. etc). my fiance and i bought silverware cause it was on sale like 1/4 of the price, and we have a blender, and he has really good knive sets and cutting board. we even have a full stocked bar so we have the entire barware and everything you can think of for that! so now, we have no clue what to do for the registry, and my mom is getting pissed that we havent started doing it yet. but we dont know what to put on it. we need new bed sheets, but thats about it. between the two of us and all of our crap we already have 2 complete bathroom sets and bedroom stuff, my best friend's mom died reciently and her exhusband just gave us a whole crapload of lamps, an oak dining room table and chairs, and 2 dressers since they had to clean out the house since it just sold i'm really out of ideas on this one, so i have no clue... help please. i've only even bought stuff for one couple that got married and their registry was all plates and wine glasses and things like that... we have all that stuff! help!!everything we got for our engagement hasnt even been opened yet since we were still living at home (and still are up until next month) the knives are the only thing thats ever used but he just got those for christmas last year so they are still in great conditionas for the things my mom has bought over the years - the waffle maker has gotten used once a year for the past 5 years, and the blender only gets used a few times a year when we make margaritas (which isnt often)... so we have all this brand new stuff all over my mom's basement thats just been sitting!!! i guess towels and bed linens are a good idea being that ours are older and used (except for the set my grandma got us) moreResolved Question: please o please help its to hard?

I know I've asked this before, but now I have pictures (below). I have cabinets that are a medium oak color. I would like to frame these prints in a dark burnished walnut frame. I like a clay color with a touch of gray for the walls. I am also installing some artsy off-white pendant lighting in the kitchen as well. Lime walls with a teal line with a black line inside the teal. Teal curtains. black picture frames with pictures of Hawaii in them. The pictures of one I've taken. The theme is Hawaiian as we just moved to North Carolina last week from Hawaii. I really miss it here and I've never seen such a boring town. Our house has all white walls and NO personality. I have to get some carpet since it's ugly green. moreResolved Question: Poem I just wrote, what do you think? Criticism welcome.?
There is a house in the West, it sits on a hill, and no one knows where it came from. It incites a riot in the human mind, no one knows from whence it came, but inside sits figures of sapphire energy, and gold. Laying and moving amongst the women and smoke clouds. Victorian royalty staring out at us, from picture frames of oak stained red. Plush pillows and regal thrones, for everybody with the touch of God, and the madness of Barabbas, inside every desperate soul. It's led to the light in some people, and the ruin in others, such is its influence. And inside the rooms a grand piano awaits its master, to be played like a fool, in this house on a hill, overlooking the Bay. The careless are welcome, but they do not stay long, they grow wary of the portraits that eye each and every single one, looking deep into those sorrowful pools, where creatures strain against their chains. And men and women, sit in the dark, playing doctor, and administrating love, No matter the ailment. The organ plays all night, It plays in my dreams, In fact it drives some men insane, They never seem to stay long.Calvin B, its not supposed to...peace!Al Sepert, actually criticize the poem please, not me. What I do is really none of your concern. Either comment on the Poem, or don't. Thank you, and have a nice day. :). Peace. moreResolved Question: Bedroom ideas?
I have chocolate brown paint on my walls and I really like the color. However, the only bed frame I have is oak (a NICE bed donated by my aunt on the condition that I don't paint it). The problem is that the wood of the bedframe clashes with the color of the walls. It has a headboard and footboard and I'd like to know how to cover those parts (in a way that would not hurt the wood) with something that matches. The trim on the baseboards, windows, and doorways is cream. I have three windows on one wall and I treat them as a big picture window: The curtains are cream, and there's a translucent curtain over that one that has images of old photographs/handwriting/ships etc. Any ideas for carpeting as well? And how does one add cute little touches in there? My son and my sister are convinced I'm allergic to color! moreResolved Question: paint color help...?
So i'm a teenager, so obviously I want a fun/bright room, but I'm more on the calm/mature side taste wise. My bedspread is a reversable magenta/blaze orange (magenta side up), with solid magenta & turquoise pillows and then random stripe and pokadot pillows (ligh & bright pink, magenta, lemon, and a duller of the orange) I got it from JC Penny's almost a year ago now (it was in the dorm section). Originally, I was going to have the turquoise be my accent wall, and put my bright bed on the other side of the room and have a neutral chocolatly brown the kind of balance it out (and then add touches of the colors everywhere to bring it together). My parents, however, hate the brown. They think it's too dark (It's not a dark brown, it's a richer light brown). At first I icnored them, but I'm starting to think maybe it won't turn out as nice as I am picturing it in my head (since all of my furnature & door/window framing is an oak wood that the brown doesn't really go with.)so then I figured, maybe I should have a backup color scheme that's more fun/teenagery. I want to stick with this turquoise accent wall, then I want to pick out another color that wouldn't necesarily BLEND, but it won't look out of place. I was thinking maybe a muted green (since I have a few green accents ranging from lime to sage) but I'm not sure. Any imput/comments would be appriciated. I'll write down the color of the blue I want once I can get a hold of it.From Sherwin Williams, the colors I have are Rapture Blue (a definiate) and the two colors I am between are either Grounded (the chocolate brown) or Gleeful (A green that I think goes well with the blue, but still will blend in with the rest of my colors) to test that out for furnature accents I put in heartfelt and kid's stuff (which are as close as I could find to the main colors in my bedspread.) again i would appriciate any imput on what you think I should go with :) moreResolved Question: How does this sound? and should i change some things?
"You know your little run in with the law cost me alot of time and a lot money right" Sincere told his brother, Latroy while puffing a Cohiba cigar. They were in Sin's twelve-bedroom mansion in New, Rochelle, New York. It had took the construction workers over four months-from March to now July- to remodel the mansion the way Sincere and his wife Donna wanted. The mansion looked just like a smaller-replica of the White House. The room they were in now was Sincere's home office he built to look just like the President's oval office but with calm colors and a 50-inch televison. Sin sat behind his white oak desk in his customized chair looking at his brother who sat in a leather desk chair. On the freshly-painted walls were framed pictures of celebrities Sin had taken pictures with-LL Cool J, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, many R&B singers and rappers. He even had flicks with politicians like Mayor Levy and Attorney General Kevin O'Reilly-.Latroy Frazier was Sincere's 21 year old youngest brother and a lieutenant in Sin's drug organization, The NEW YORK BOYS. He had just come home after serving 8 months on Rikers Island awaiting trial for a murder he commited in broad day light. Latroy a.k.a Punch was having problems with a rival dealer in the projects he controlled-the lucrative 131 Saint Nicholas project building in Harlem- named Roc Head. Roc was a older cat who felt he deserved his due and began pitching $5 bags of dope in Latroy's building stealing Punch's customers. Punch warned him to stay out of the building out of respect for the man. He had also heard about Roc's murder game-the most infamous one he heard was how Roc killed his own righthand man and brother Dutch in front of their Aunt Patrice and got away with it-. A few weeks later, after he was warned, Roc was caught dealing in the building after Punch warned him. Punch pulled out a gun and Roc told Latroy to suk his dick and get the fuk off the strip. moreResolved Question: Dark wood or pine?!?
