Do you have to get the rod replaced like a knee replacement or what do you think happened. moreVoting Question: What should I expect from this accident?
I was hit in the knee by a car while walking. 6 years ago I had an ACL repair and meniscus repair. After the recent accident I was told i have a new meniscus tear and sever osteoarthritis. Now the osteoarthritis is from the old injury but it didnt bother me i had full range and was never in pain. Since the accident I am in constant pain and the doc say I need a total knee replacement to stop the pain. The claims adjuster sent the file for an IME to see what they are responsible to pay for. Does anyone have KNOWLEDGE in this area? What do you think the IME will say? How long does this take to make a decision? Are they responsible for some or all of the knee surgury or do you think they will apportion some? My doctor say that it is needed now from the accident but that I would have needed it some day down the road, moreResolved Question: Claim adjuster - personal inury anyone have knowledge?
I was hit by a car in a knee I had previous work on ACL & Meniscus repairs. After the car hit me I have been told I have osteoarthritis (from Previous injury) I didnt know I had it. I also have a new meniscus tear. The pain is awful and the doctor said that because of the pain the only thing to do is knee replacement. Now I would have needed it down the road. But because of the new injury on top of the osteoathritis I NOW need it. What is you take on the situation? How can I get the adjuster to pay for the surgury? will they only pay partial? The adjuster said it is beyond her expertise and she is sending the file to a doctor for an evaluation whatever that means? What should I expect? The insurance is Progressive and I am in NH. moreResolved Question: Any Claims adjusters out there??

But I was not in any pain at all in fact didnt even know I had it. Now because of the pain I need a knee replacement. My question is will the insurance company be responisble for the surgury? moreResolved Question: In a spot of hot water over Home Surgury practice. Advice?
Here's the situation...I practice Home Surgury on low income seniors and people with no health insurance. I do this out of my garage mainly, although will make house visits. My operating instruments are basic woodworking tools, X-acto knives and a Makita cordless drill. I've had pretty good luck... simple procedures like appendectomies, tooth extractions, simple amputations and goiter removals...and would like to branch into knee replacements and gastric bypasses after reading up on a few techniques . Business is good, with only a handful of complications and complaints. While performing a routine gallbladder snip and stitch, I believe the battery from my cordless drill became disengaged and slipped into my patient. I can't find it anywhere (luckily they come with two batteries). I haven't said anything to the patient, but now he complains of pain and swelling, the swelling is in the exact shape of the battery. Should I risk a lawsuit, not really being a doctor? Or keep quiet? moreResolved Question: I had knee surgery a week ago I have alot pain in my foot is this normal?
