I come from a business improvement background which I accidentally fell into. I have mainly worked on people' projects like suggestion schemes and employee surveys. I decided I wanted to take the next 'leap' on the ladder and got a job at a higher level in this field. However, business improvement at the new place it not what I am used to. And I don't really like it. It's more process improvement and operational efficiency and much less about people. But I do like the project management side of it. I really don't enjoy going into work and the team is full of backstabbers and unenthusiastic individuals. I really don't know what to do! Do I stay and just get the experience and hope that I grow to enjoy it or do I look for another job that is entirely focused on people in the workplace and is more "my thing".
