hi, my boyfriend and i have been going out for a month or two now but it hasn't been an issue yet since we've both been on holidays a bit in that time. i wouldn't really feel very uncomfortable about this since i've been brought up quite openly and i can mention it to my dad or brother without awkwardness but my boyfriend doesn't have a sister. when the two of us were camping with friends, one of them mentioned she was on hers and he didn't seem comfortable with this and he seemed even slightly disgusted! the most difficult part is that we haven't actually had sex yet since we've both had little time just to ourselves but i don't want him to think i just don't want to have sex with him! i'm his first girlfriend and i don't want to screw this up!thank you for the advice so far! i just think that he really isn't a very immature person, he just has had a very different upbringing to mine and hasn't heard that kind of frankness about periods before. moreOpen Question: Is this normal? My girlfriend is absolutely amazing, interesting, perfect and we have been dating for two and a half months. I know every couple goes through the "honey-moon phase" where everything is perfect and you are completely enamored with them, but that hasn't faded for me. We used to spend hour on the phone just talking and sitting there in complete silence and it was pretty much perfect. I haven't met a girl like her before but my biggest issue is I am so insecure with her. I am always afraid when she says she loves me, she doesn't mean it quiet like I mean it and I get weary when she hangs out with a few of her friends. I am not saying I do not want her spending time with them, but there is one kid that hangs in that group and he has made it his "goal" to sleep with her. She was raised Catholic so really coming out would be a problem. Whenever it is quiet on the phone or when she doesn't text me back for hours I wonder what she is thinking or doing. I know it is irrational and stupid, but I am scared completely shitless of being not only this attached to someone, but being replaced at some time. I do love her dearly but there are times when she says things it hurts really bad and I can't seem to express that without coming off oddly. this girl, is like my everything... I know what's missing, it's the fact that we're not doing any of the cute stuff no more, that's down to a mood on her end. she promises it will change, but waiting for her, well it's hurting me, we're closer than other friends, I'm a guy and recently found that without this cute stuff, it makes my brain all nervous and stuff, and I can't think of anything to say to her. I worik in an all male office of 5 people. There is a climate of bullying in the office. I'm the only female and i'm always told when the milk runs out in the canteen, when coffee needs to be made for a meeting and when to tidy up the dirty cups from the meeting room. This is just a small example. I'm a very hard worker and i feel have been doing a decent job this past 2.5yrs. I've also been given surveying duties and i've taken them on. However, at interview i said that i presumed someone else would be checking off this work, and at that point i stated that i had no formal experience or training in this work. I was told it was fine and not to worry about it. However, now over 2yrns later a mistake was found in my work and they were meeting the client. It could have been a seroius mistake but it wasnt. My manager approached me at my desk and said that it wasnt good enough and that i was making far too many mistakes. Then the director echoed the same sentiments in the corridor. Next day i approached my manager and i said i was there to 'clear the air' and to ask what the director meant by the 'other mistakes'. I owned up to the mistakes (mistakes that had already been owned up to by me and which were not a big deal). He said that my work was full of mistakes and that they hadnt encountered this in 10 yrs. He also said the director wanted to give me a written warning but was just letting it slide. He was clearly furious. This was the first time i heard this was a huge issue or that my work was considered 'so bad'. I was very upset, left the office saying i 'felt unwell'. I got a doctors certificate stating 'stress' and I rang HR. HR are telling me (verbally) that the director is a known bully and that what i am experiencing is 'bullying and harassment'. I never said those words,they mentioned them. They are verbally offering me a redundancy package, but i'm just worried where this is going. I dont want a load of money, i just want out of this company with my reputation in tact. What should I do? I do not want to face these bullies. This has happened on several occasions to my girlfriend and me. Walking down the street we are harassed and racially and verbally abused by these arse holes. I'm White and my GF is mixed race (half Jamaican and half Thai), it tends to be a group of black guys when I am walking down the street hand in hand with my other half, I get intimidating abuse. Once we were harassed by 7 guys (there was a mixture of ethnic backgrounds in this case, black, white and mixed race, but I had the feeling a part of what they were doing was because I was white with a beautiful girl that was not of my colour) in 2 cars walking down a derelict street in our friends estate, they actually tried to call over my GF and chat her up in front of me, she burst out crying and I tried to stay cool and tell her to keep walking. I was worried myself, and angry but if either of us had reacted I would have been outnumbered 7 to 1, and after they had possibly hurt me my GF would be all on her own and I would have been devastated if anything would have happened to her if I could have prevented it. We do get sly comments occasionally, but they are soon forgotten, but a very similar incident happened over the weekend, when another group of men made disgusting comments aimed at us. They were so vile and disrespectful, I was composed until we walked around the corner, and then I told my GF how I felt, and I really hate the disrespect and ignorance portrayed here. I really wanted to go past again and see if we would get a similar reaction, so I could say and do something, even though heavily outnumbered again, I was so angry it wouldn't have mattered. She did calm me down and we carried on with our evening. We live in a very multi-cultural society, and this kind of thing should be embraced and not hated. I hate the fact that ironically me and my Girl's love generates so much hate. We even have had comments from mixed race people? Maybe it's because my girlfriend is amazing, beautiful and perfect that every man would be sort of jealous, regardless of race, religion any other background. I fully understand the social and historical context of these situations of course several generations ago, it was thought of as taboo to be in a mixed relationship, and I’m sure the foot was in the other shoe, black guy with white girl, etc. So I’m sure there is a wealth of experience regarding this subject. Essentially I’m asking although this will always kind of happen, racism will never die, I’m afraid there are issues that will never be solved even though they should be, it’s just ignorance and misplaced hate. I recently rescued a 5 week old Shar pei that looked really ill. She was riddled with worms and looked half starved, with a very bloated belly. I live in China and so took her to the vet straight away- but they told me their policy is that I have to wait 7 days before they will treat her (because there is a good chance she will die). I argued with the vet for a while and eventually they agreed to sell me worming pills for her- which I think has cleared up that problem. She’s very lively and playful, but I am concerned with how little she eats and that she has yellow watery diarrhoea. I’ve tried dried dog food (with water to make it soft) rice and even scrambled egg to get her to eat more. She is far too young to be away from her mother, but if I hadn’t have taken her, she would have died. The vet won’t see her for another 3 days, so was wondering if there is anything else I can do in that time. We knew when we took her home, her chances of survival weren’t great, but was shocked that the vet’s attitude- as because she was given tap water (poisoness here) and mixed with other dogs, she probably has some other health issues. k here's the thing, I've been having this problem forever (literally). Hi there, fellow Yahooers! ;) Right then, here's my problem this week... My next door neighbour sold Me his knackered iTouch (16gb, 2nd generation) for £25.00 He told Me in advance that it didn't turn on AT ALL. He said it might be an issue with the battery, as trying to reset the iTouch with EVERY method imaginable/suggested out there, hasn't worked. I bought it off him as spare parts for my 8gb 2G iTouch. (As the Home button has sunk into the casing, on mine) I've gone on countless forums, and looked up almost every single Youtube video out there, hoping to get it working again.. no dice so far. My best friend said I might have to reset the internal 'EEPROM IC' chip, to get it working again. but I'm not really that experienced with going into an iTouch's internals. I removed and replaced the cracked screen and damaged front panel on mine, a week ago. But going ALL THE WAY into is, is something I know myself, I cannot do. Apple are expensive buggers, and would rather I buy a new iTouch, which I can't afford. So my question to you clever folks, is: "Is it repairable? Or have I got a glorified paperweight?" He's done it 3/4 times before when he was younger as we moved home and e got a little distressed which i can understand why he had done it but within the past week he has messed twice in our home, once on our bed!! and the second time in his cat bed. He is an indoor cat, he is vaccinated and wormed. He hasn't had any disruption at all for him to do this. Nothing has changed since we have moved in. Please help. I cant understand this at all. Im really worried I won't be able to cope with him as im due to give birth within 7 weeks and i really don't want to give him away. intolerance/allergy she has gone right downhill with her feeds, going from 3-4oz to 1-2 until finally refusing them completely. now she has an ng tube to feed her. i try her orally first but cant get more than 20-30mls in her before topping her up with the rest. she has had the tube for 2 weeks now and there has been no improvement. i really think she hates the taste and that's a reason why she wont drink it. her pain has been managed with meds but its the feeding that's the issue now. i did tell the dietitian but he seems to think she will get used to the taste, well after 2 weeks she hasn't so far. is there anyway i can flavour the milk? i hate it that she is on neocate but its not proved she is allergic to dairy or lactose..its only her reflux and her mucusy poos that was the problem, but i feel proper testing for an allergy would help than maybe she could come off this disgusting milk that she hates. moreOpen Question: Does anyone know..my partner is from south africa and has been living in the UK for 7 years with a SA passport?

Please note during his whole time here he has paid NI and TAX...he was then arrested by immigration officials at his home as they believed that there was a fault with his visa and he had overstayed his ''visit''. As it turns out, he was assisted by a company who claimed to ''work with the home office'' and in applying for and issuing visas. Unbeknown to him the company was fraudulent!!! He was 'removed' back to south africa. Can he come back once he has applied for a new visa straight away? I worik in an all male office of 5 people. There is a climate of bullying in the office. I'm the only female and i'm always told when the milk runs out in the canteen, when coffee needs to be made for a meeting and when to tidy up the dirty cups from the meeting room. This is just a small example. I'm a very hard worker and i feel have been doing a decent job this past 2.5yrs. I've also been given surveying duties and i've taken them on. However, at interview i said that i presumed someone else would be checking off this work, and at that point i stated that i had no formal experience or training in this work. I was told it was fine and not to worry about it. However, now over 2yrns later a mistake was found in my work and they were meeting the client. It could have been a seroius mistake but it wasnt. My manager approached me at my desk and said that it wasnt good enough and that i was making far too many mistakes. Then the director echoed the same sentiments in the corridor. Next day i approached my manager and i said i was there to 'clear the air' and to ask what the director meant by the 'other mistakes'. I owned up to the mistakes (mistakes that had already been owned up to by me and which were not a big deal). He said that my work was full of mistakes and that they hadnt encountered this in 10 yrs. He also said the director wanted to give me a written warning but was just letting it slide. He was clearly furious. This was the first time i heard this was a huge issue or that my work was considered 'so bad'. I was very upset, left the office saying i 'felt unwell'. I got a doctors certificate stating 'stress' and I rang HR. HR are telling me (verbally) that the director is a known bully and that what i am experiencing is 'bullying and harassment'. I never said those words,they mentioned them. They are verbally offering me a redundancy package, but i'm just worried where this is going. I dont want a load of money, i just want out of this company with my reputation in tact. What should I do? I do not want to face these bullies. Hey I'm 15 Male, And I've asked this question because i'm unsure about my Sexuality. Please restrain youself from jokes or sly comments to try to offend me. I question my sexuality or have been alot lately and I've been told if you question it you already know the outcome but i'm really unsure. First of all , i've only ever had one girlfriend , I wont go into names or that much detail but I think i'm Gay because when I first asked her out it was the start of summer and alot of people were in couples and I think I asked her out to not feel left out due to peer pressure. We never kissed and never held hands. We just hugged and talked. I felt alienated because all my friends were like " I got an Erection when my girlfriend said yes to going out with me". Sorry to say I never got an erection or felt any sexual attraction to her. Yet she was very pretty ad still is and is now a very good friend. But I didn't have the urge to say like most guys " Wow she is fit " and all that. When walking around in my group of friends Guys/Girls I've overheard and been nudged to say , " Hey isn't she fit? " to a girl across the street or just passing by. I have never felt like saying that but I always play along to not appear out of the loop. Ive never felt the urge to stare at a female but i've caught myself taking long hard looks at men. I think i'm sexually attracted to men becuase i've never shyed away from any pictures i've seen of men having sex with each other. I think I like it because I think I preffer to look at it rather than Male and Female sex. Also I think about this guy in our group alot erotically and I feel weird in a good way when talking to him in real life or IM. But I worry that If I was gay I couldn't have a relationship i.e hold hands and stuff. I've only had 1 bad relationship so no real experience. When I got back from work I found a bag of cocaine near my neighbors house. When I knocked on their door, their daughter attended and begged me not to tell their parents. I've almost always had to wear glasses and never really questioned before why the vision in my right eye is still blurry even with them. With my contacts in or my glasses on I can see perfectly with both eyes open, I can see perfectly with just my left eye open, but my right eye is still blurry. Obviously the prescription isn't strong enough in that eye, but after around 15 years of wearing glasses/having regular check-ups and updates in my prescription, surely by now I should be wearing glasses that correct BOTH eyes to perfect vision? Okay, I'm going to sound like a total b*tch, but hear me out. Me and the best guy friend I have got drunk at a party, ended up kissing and decided to get together the next week. We just passed the four month mark, but I really think that we would have been better off as friends. Okay, so a while back now, me and my friend had this like eating issue. It got out of hand and everything went wrong basically, but that's not the problem, that is over now. I was told it was fine and not to worry about it. However, now over 2yrns later a mistake was found in my work and they were meeting the client. It could have been a seroius mistake but it wasnt. My manager approached me at my desk and said that it wasnt good enough and that i was making far too many mistakes. Then the director echoed the same sentiments in the corridor. Next day i approached my manager and i said i was there to 'clear the air' and to ask what the director meant by the 'other mistakes'. I owned up to the mistakes (mistakes that had already been owned up to by me and which were not a big deal). He said that my work was full of mistakes and that they hadnt encountered this in 10 yrs. He also said the director wanted to give me a written warning but was just letting it slide. He was clearly furious. This was the first time i heard this was a huge issue or that my work was considered 'so bad'. I was very upset, left the office saying i 'felt unwell'. I got a doctors certificate stating 'stress' and I rang HR. HR are telling me (verbally) that the director is a known bully and that what i am experiencing is 'bullying and harassment'. I never said those words,they mentioned them. They are verbally offering me a redundancy package, but i'm just worried where this is going. Okay, so I like everyone else (presumably) get annoyed when their honest answers are hijacked by spammers. I report them immediately and the answer disappears however what YA don't seem to have solved is the fact that any question that is answered by a spammer (and subsequently reported) still lists itself as having been answered. People looking to answer questions for those most in need (ie unanswered ones) will now simply skip the question without even looking at it. This means users have to re-post the question (losing more points that they need in order to ask questions). AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH. Is there anyone I can raise this systematic fault with in order to actually change the way YA deals with the issue of spammy people (who usually deserve to die, have their children killed and their children's children killed. My partner decided very late on he didn't want to study the course he had put down for (psychology) and instead wanted to do social science. By this point, the only option left was clearing in which he got a space at UWS, though he really doesn't want to do his full 4 years there. Would it be possible for him to change to another university for 2nd year? He had the grades for a better university this year, so qualifications wouldn't be an issue. Me and my family are in desperate need of financial help at the moment. My sister Jamie has been traveling for the past 4 months , visiting Australia, Thailand and so on. Last week on the 2nd of the month , we received a phone call from her friend who she is with that she had been involved in an road accident. We have now found out that she is in a coma and because of her situation/condition and location at present , she has to be transferred to the UK where a specialist in head injuries is , and so she can receive the medical help she needs, otherwise she will basically die the doctors have said. Unfortunately the medical bills are a separate issue , luckily we have private health care back at home , unfortunately she does not have any where she is and they are doing nothing in to help. We have also found out that the bills to get her to the uk are ridiculous due to the medical care she has to receive on board the plane.. we have so far raised nearly 7 thousand pounds , and we are trying everything to get another 8 thousand pounds. If anybody can help , i would ofcorse pay you back once this mess is over with and in time.. but at the moment we are desperate and time is not on our side.. I'll preface by saying that I am lost when it comes to any sort of tech issues. I use Freeview at home, and I have a set-top aerial. The reception where I live (Tyne and Wear) is pretty miserable. The analogue channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and C4) came in fine, but the digital channels would scramble. A friend moved recently and gave me a Tevion STB715 Digital Terrestrial Receiver, that was new and unopened in the box. I set it up the other day, and the digital channels now come in clearly, but I can't access the 4 analogue channels at all. The remote that came with my telly has a button for TV and one for DTV. If I attempt to access analogue TV with it, the screen goes grey and says 'no signal.' Can I only use the Receiver to access digital channels? Do I need to turn it off to watch BBC? If it helps, the telly is a Logik, and was purchased at Curry's less than a year ago. Cheers!Well I'm not getting BBC or ITV with the digital receiver. My browser takes over a minute to open a page. I have tried different browsers (Opera, IE, etc) and I have even tried from my iPhone but it staill takes over a minute to connect. I have a Netgear router, a laptop running Vista x32 and another laptop running XP. All was fine until a couple of days ago. I contacted my ISP and they said nothing has changed. I tried cable connecting, rather than wireless, and still I have the issue. I have also resotored the factory config on my router and it hasn't helped (I set it up from scratch again). Finally, I have tried turning off all PCs and truning them on indivually to see if they are causing issues with each other but it is still the same. ok so me and my boyfriend have been together a long time, and i am currently 16 weeks pregnant,although we have been together for about 1-2 years our parents have never met, ( just never really got round to it) and since finsing out im pregnat we thought its about time they did meet. I told my mum and due to some family issues with my brother, she has found it hard to find a free space at the moment to arrange a meet. Anyway, so my dad invited me my boyfriend and my boyfriends parents up to his for a barbie ( my mum and dad are not together) so of course i agreed and my dad met his parents. But when i told my mum about this she got really upset started shouting and saying how my dad has not been there for me so why should he of met bens (my boyfriends) parents first. I feel guilty because she got so upset and wanted to meet them first, but i dont know what she expects me to do. She didnt have any spare time to meet them over the past month or so, so did she expect me to hold everything off just so she could meet them ffirst?
