CIS stands for CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT SOFTWARE and ties in well with ISO certification, which the company I'm working for is looking into. We are running a side by side comparison of CIS and Microsoft Office Sharepoint and I have been keeping a pro/con list of the two. I cannot find anything on the internet regarding disadvantages of CIS and I was wondering if anyone out there has used it before and can give me some insight on it. Maybe a few reasons why the company should go with CIS instead of SharePoint Thanks moreResolved Question: 10 points for best answer. How will competition affect McDonalds product?

I am doing an NVQ3 in customer service and I am stuck on this question please help? moreResolved Question: Do you think what we know as evil is in fact a form of natural decay?
We know growth and decay are both process of nature. They are part of the continuous cycle of nature by which things in grow, reach their maturity and then they decay, as to give way to newer ones, the process continues. We as human beings benefit from nature. Physically we are natural organisms build upon nature, and for our physical need provided for by nature. But to meet the needs of our own human nature we need to improve on nature, on what it has to offer, to make natural produce humanly useful and accommodating: fruit might grow on trees and grains on ground but we need to process them all to make them fit for our consumption. We need houses for our lodgings, for instance, equipments for our use, and knowledge for our survival and improvement. If then we grew careless, and indifferent to our human needs, we might fall ill, without knowledge we might become like animals; we might kill or get killed. If we became humanly incompetent many bad things could happen to us. I think any bad things that could happen to us would in fact be the processes of nature kicking in, taking over, to redress the balance, or to replace an ‘incompetent’ species with something new, or with nothing. Thanks for your time! Your thoughts! moreResolved Question: Does the text below make sense?
Weaknesses and Experimental Improvements: Weaknesses in this factorial experimental design could have influenced the true interpretation of the results making it doubtful of a fair and ethical experiment. This weakens the evidence found to support the theoretical basis of the research. Threats to internal and external validity were found such as the time of day the training and evacuation was conducted. People who had been awake during the day may be fatigued which could flaw the results; these people would suffer the effects that are associated with night work. Conclusive empirical evidence found that fatigue greatly reduced cognitive processes such as implicit learning, problem solving skills and physical responses such as those required for working a computer (Broadbent, 1979). Daytime training would be preferable. The research demonstrated significantly that learning appeared to be greater when reinforcement was used such as goal setting and feedback. However, this may have been the Hawthorne effect; the more complex the intervention, the more people felt studied. The participants performed the evacuation wearing their safety equipment such as goggles and breathing respirators. In real life situations, some staff may not in the immediate vicinity of their equipment which can flaw the evacuation times. Most evacuation models tend to focus on movement towards an exit, congestion, building layout and distance. Training needs to focus on the vicinity of protective clothing and unpredictable behaviour of individuals and crowds as the practical evacuations were done individually. Realistically, a number of people being evacuated simultaneously would realistically take more time. Reducing theses errors or random variables and increasing the population sample size would increase the power of the test and decrease the overlap between the distributions to produce larger effect sizes. Therefore, this would increase the accuracy and ethicality of the research. Repeating the study would prove or disprove the study to test the validity and to find a continuous significance for hypothesis one. It must be found why the insignificant results and low effect size occurred by redesigning the research. Increasing the power on the test can increase the chances of a type two error, but setting the significance level to 0.05 increases the risk of a type one error. Careful design of research is essential to ensure it is has reliability and validity. This ensures that the study can be replicated by other researchers and measures what it claims. moreResolved Question: Are you happy with your Happy Meal? Or do you think PETA is justified in their McCruelty Campaign?
Melbourne, Aug 11 (ANI): Parents are fuming over a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) campaign targeting McDonalds. Parents say that the animal rights group's 'McCruelty Campaign' is unfairly targeting their kids at restaurants across America with 'Unhappy Meals' featuring a knife-wielding Ronald McDonald and bloody rubber chickens According to Fox News, parents say that they don't want their kids exposed to any throat-slitting chickens or pictures of slaughtered poultry. "I don't want my son to be around something like this. This is not fair for a child," News.com.au quoted Stephaine Gipson as saying. Michelle Natale said: "I think it's unhappy that they target children." However, PETA activists claim that children are jaded enough by television and video games to handle the carnographic images, and intend to continue their campaign pressuring McDonald's to use more humane means of killing chickens. "I think children and adults deserve to be told the truth - and that's that behind Ronald McDonald's smile is cruelty to animals," PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt said. Rajt said most parents are usually troubled by what PETA calls McDonald's cruel treatment of chickens, and said that kids who "naturally empathise" with animals enjoy PETA's presence outside the Golden Arches. "Kids are usually very excited to see the free T-shirts and they like our person in the chicken costume," Rajt said. A spokesman for McDonald defended the franchise, insisting it supports the use of a stunning technique that numbs its chickens before they are slaughtered. "McDonald's works with leading independent animal welfare experts and makes decisions based upon science to promote continuous improvement in animal welfare as part of our broader sustainable supply chain initiatives," said Bob Langert, McDonald's vice president of corporate social responsibility. I work for an american company who are really big on "self audits", "tracking tools", "metrics" etc. ( now there's a surprise eh). One of the delights of the self audit process is that we are supposed to give ourselves a score of 1 to 10 on the following, but it just looks like gibberish to me. can anyone explain it please? "Audit process established. Process includes structured method for assessing Continuous Improvement levels, but low use of performance metrics (e.g. more qualitative than quantitative assessment). "You will note that this part of the audit is actually "self auditing" the self audit process ITSELF, i.e., auditing the audit. moreResolved Question: 10 business/continuous improvement ideas?
