so i guess ill begin here... i want to get and start a family farm of my own. I grew up on a dairy farm. Which long story short is no longer in the family due to death of a close loved one and extreamly stupid greedy relatives. end story. ive sence then worked on a couple different dairys. which have also had bad luck and sence went out of buisness. with the later one still in buisness. but gearing more tward the family aspect and no longer needed my help. now im stuck working at a business in the city. and quite honestly im dreading every minute of it... the country boy in me is longing for freedom again.... and plus this has been a dream of mine sense i can first remember. Im stuck renting an apartment working for minimum wage and im able to save an okay amount of money a month. The goal is to get a farm. with enough acres to support at least a 60 cow dairy. seeing as i will be most likely doing all the work by my self. i dont know how many cows more than 60 i can handle. by 60 cows i mean 60 milking. i wonder if i could start with 40. tho... 60 is the goal. but i wouldn't mind starting with a lower amount. and i would like to build it to around 100 cows milking full time in 10 years from starting. so i guess i would need enough land to sustain the dairy. but i dont know how i would go about getting everything in order to begin the dairy... i might as well mention i have absolutely no credit. for lack of resources to obtain a co signer. and with out a co signer apparently i cant build any credit because all of the credit using things need credit to aether obtain or a co signer with perfect credit to sign for you.. shame.... so i wonder what sort of resources im going to need. some sort of education? like short courses or something? i was planning on going for business management down at the tech school. but do you think that would be enough.... dont forget im doing this all on my own... so. what sort of education would i need. for the basic start up.... any ideas how to obtain money.... aether grants or loans or what not to obtain land and animals.... there are not many farms in my area anymore that hire people as farm hands and such. and in my current situations im stuck with the job i have now only because its guaranteed and pays the current bills and is a source of money so im able to go to back to school if need be..... any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated. ive already been to the www.fsa.usda.gov site and that was no use. i need input on how to get up the the point of getting the loans... class's to take grants to apply for... idk i guess things like that.. and so you know im SERIOUS about this. this isnt just a dream this is a goal i intend to succeed at. so how could i go about this? more

I'd really like to know because it seems that everything that I want to do seems childish and wouldn't be a responsible life decision. I was even told that once I go to college for a few years that maybe I'd 'grow up' and pick a career that's more stable and normal. Which I'm not going to lie, it put me in a really crabby mood. So before I start venting because I'm still upset about it I"m just going to tell you what I think isn't an unreasonable goal. I want to mesh my love of fashion and my love of writing together. I want to own my own clothing boutique and sell my own fashion designs. I also want to write my own stories on the side and once they're published I'd sell them in the store. I'm even trying to do the reasonable thing and get a business degree with a fashion minor but that doesn't even seem to be good enough even though I dread the thought of taking business classes for 4 years. So do you think this is a good goal to have? If not, any other suggestions? more

one word Wow, the city is completely littered with garbage in the streets and connors and there is alot of vacant buildings that went out of business that has broken windows and graffiti. hardly any businesses except a factory that hires illegal immigrants for low pay. they have a burger king that's absolutely disgusting everytime i eat their i vomit they hire people who pick their noses and don't wash their hands. there is a pizza place called brother bruno's which i worked there and seen that the employees Do not wash their hands after using the restrooms, and when preparing the meals for the customers if they drop the cheese ect they pick it up and use it. Do not eat at the chinese restaurants they Do server cat and dog meat pass off as chicken,! proven fact a chinese buffet was closed down in port jervis four years ago. The people there depend on their social security income and social security disability not just for rent but to suport their alcohol and drug depence some of them don't even pay their rent they'll buy drugs, people there get foodstamps there and sell it and then will go to the local churches for food for the rest of the month. the city has homeless people living in towpaths. people there do to the doctors for prescription medications. and Port jervis has a huge percentage of sex offenders and people who have HIV/AIDS. the city has a terrible stench because how poor people take care of it not cleaning the garbage up and the homeless. people there you can't trust them because their Crackheads and will steal from you, and the women there don't even take proper care of their children. people's yards are disgusting there's garbage all over the place they don't mow their yards, or trim the bushes, more

I am a high school Sophomore and I either want to become a producer, actress (not very much though) or a lawyer. I wanted to be a lawyer for years but then I started to think about it and I don't know how good I am at arguing. People say I love to argue, but I don't think I can make a good argument, although some people say I can, others I can't. I am going to start taking acting lessons next year as my elective. I've been obsessed with celebrities so I looked into becoming a producer and it sounded interesting. I've started watching the behind scenes stuff on DVDs and it looks like fun! I have an uncle who is a producer and he is unemployed. But, then my neighbor is a lawyer and he is unemployed also.I told my parents I want to be a producer and they said "NO WAY!". My dad said "if you major in producing, find a way to pay for your own college", but he said this in front of his friends so I don't know if he was joking or not. After he said this, my mom said "just minor in film." I am taking acting classes next year for my electives and there are tons of opportunities for me to act if I am interested in it. I am going to college after high school, probably Notre Dame or U of Michigan and maybe majoring in Business and minoring in film . I am planning on going to law school after college. If I decide to go with the lawyer career, I want to be a Senator. Or I was considering becoming a producer and then governor (like Ronald Reagan was an actor and then he became President.) There are stars like Peter Facinelli and Ashley Greene who didn't start acting until college and Cameron Diaz who auditioned for a part and got it with no acting experience and Harrison Ford started acting, wasn't making a lot of money acting, so he took of carpentry and then was hired to build George Lucas's cabinets, and then Lucas hired him for Star Wars. I also took a career test and it said either a producer or lawyer! (That was no help at all!) Also, I was looking at employment statistics, and it said for 2008, there were around 100,00 employed producers and 700,000 employed lawyers, but I won't be graduating college until 2017, so I don't know how much the statistics will change. What are my chances of becoming a producer in Hollywood? Can I have some advice? I have no idea what I want to do! Also, my mom said the reason she didn't go to law school was because of how hard it is to find a job as a lawyer and she isn't good at arguing. Also, I don't want to become a lawyer because I am really shy and my brother said that if I want to be a lawyer, I better get over my shyness. more

Open Question: i'm getting evicted for late fees I don't owe and they refuse to wave?

Three months ago, I paid my rent using an online service thru the management company for the apartments I live in. There was a "glitch" in the system and though it was taken from my bank account, they never posted the payment til 10 days too late. I was assessed a late fee that I was told repeatedly by the assistant manager would be waved but need to be waved by the district manager (who was out on maternity leave) or the manager (who was fired and hadn't been replaced yet). The following month, I was assessed another late fee for the late fee that wasn't waved or paid. I sent letters, emails and left voicemails. None of those were returned. The one time I found the assistant manager in the office during business hours, she assured me again that this was going to be waved yet refused to provide that in writing and insisted that I leave when I asked. I have now received a third late fee as well as a notice for a refusal to accept my rent payment (though they wouldn't give me back my rent check) as well as a notice for an eviction w/in 30 days for refusing to pay my balance. I have gone down to the office twice, arranging to be late to work (they are closed my one day off) and the office is not opened. I've worked 4 jobs my whole life and I'm a junior in college, I've serviced with a form of the Corps. I get discouraged because some students at my school look down on Communication majors. Open Question: Has anyone taken the USGBC's LEED 205 class to prep for the LEED Green Associate Exam? What's your opinion?

I'm considering either doing this option which is a 2 month online course or doing it through a community college to prep and just to learn more about LEED and to put it on my resume. I'd like to try to get a job as a sustainability coordinator, carrying out ways to make a business more sustainable, I already have a BS in architecture but can't find a job. If you took the course, would you say it's worth the $695, and is it engaging? The community college offers a similar class for $1235 which meets twice and has an online component, lasting 8 weeks, the description makes it seem more practical and useful than the class offered by LEED, which seems to focus on just the LEED rating system. Looking to breed pigs in Thailand, hence looking for ways to cut the cost. Pig food is expensive and costs around 13 quid a bag. Another food I use if fish food for hundreds of fish in our pool. This is a lot cheaper at about 5 quid a bag. Would this be suitable to feed to the pigs, and would it have any effect on the taste of the meat. I ask this because years ago while on holiday in Portugal we had bacon at this restaurant and it was foul, it smelled and tasted of fish. so I am wondering if the same was done with those pigs. more
