Hello! Randomly when I'm using my Pc it will randomly freeze for about 10-15 seconds (never been any longer) and than beep 1 quick time before resuming it's normal operation. No error message or crash. Every single time it's been 1 quick successive beep but the last "freeze" was 3 short successive beeps. I've got 8 gigs of ram and a video car with plenty of memory (1gb).My video card is fairly new (was replaced augest of 2012). The computer HAS NEVER CRASHED BEFORE OR AFTER A LITTLE FREEZE. Any ideas of what it could be? It happens randomly regardless of what programs are open. I've scanned using Microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes - nothing, plus I don't really download anything so I'm positive malware/virus is not the culprit here. I have also checked task manager no unusual programs running. I have double checked them all and they're all safe and regular. moreResolved Question: Can I set my hopes on getting a job as a Pet Care Associate at PetSmart even with virtually no work history?
I am going to be moving to a new location where there is an opening for a Pet Care Associate at a PetSmart nearby. I have been on disability my whole adult life with the goal of hopefully being able to be stable and healthy by the time I finish college. Well I now have finished and obtained my Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and am also fairly stable healthy. I also have a veterinary assistant diploma through a correspondence school. My GPA was 3.75 when I graduated and I was a Phi Theta Kappa honor student. Now with all my academic accomplishments, I have had very little job experience. Throughout my whole life I have had three jobs, none of them lasting longer than three months (they were mostly temporary summer jobs.) The jobs comprised of an office assistant, library assistant, and a housekeeper. A few years ago I did go with a friend to a free spay/neuter and volunteered on a walk-in basis in which I was responsible for caring for the cats after they came back from surgery. I had to examine their ears for ear mites (if they had ear mites-treat them), monitor their alertness levels, and also gave some vaccinations. This clinic was in Montana but since I was accompanying a friend I do not know the name of the clinic or where it was located exactly. I do have extensive experience taking care of dogs as well. I am living with my parents before my move to help them take care of their four senior dogs. One of which has congestive heart disease and has to take medications twice daily. She also has to be monitored for syncope. The others occasionally have to be assisted getting around due to arthritis. I really want to not only get the Pet Care Associate job but also really want to work for PetSmart. Will my lack of job history significantly impact my chances of getting the job? What can I do to help my chances of getting the job? PLEASE any and all helpful and detailed advice and suggestions is very much appreciated!!!! I'm planning on studying aviation in college, and I am interested in working at the airport as part of the ground crew operations. (Luggage, marshaling, fueling, etc..) The airlines do the hiring for the individual gates, and they told me I need a resume. I just turned 19 last month and I currently serve at a restaurant. I have no prior resume experience nor any aviation experience. How would I go about building this resume since I don't have any real experience in the field? moreResolved Question: Dispatcher or flight planning jobs in navy or airforce reserve?
I am 30 years old and am interested in looking for a career change in aviation. I currently work for southwest airlines (5 years and counting) and have an FAA airline dispatching license, but I want to take my career to another level and improve my resume and experience by going into either the air force or navy reserve. I have a bachelor and a masters degree. However they are in marketing and sports management. At the time when I was in school I wanted to be a sports agent, but I wasn't really a big fan of the industry as I found out that it was too shady and cutthroat. Anyways, I found a new passion in aviation which was a passion I have had since I was a kid so I am trying to pursue a career as a dispatcher or whatever I can in aviation. I know I'm too old to be a pilot in the military which is fine and I have talked to a recruiter in the air force, took the ASVAB and scored above average, passed the physical but I have not signed the contract yet because I don't know what job to pick. I also would like to see what the navy has in store as well as it might have more opportunities for me. I have not taken an oath yet for the airforce so i can still look at the navy if I want to. I would like a job that deals with flight and weather planning along with organizing aviation charts and maps. However, I'm starting to wonder whether I should start to see if I can go into it as an officer. The recruiter at the air force said because I have a degree in business the only officer position I may get is in finance or something of that nature which I have no interest in doing and I don't want to get stuck in the military with a job I don't want. The recuiter did say that I can go in enlisted and start off as a SENIOR AIRMEN straight out of BMT and tech school then go for an NCO or apply for a commissioned officer program which I heard is almost impossible nowadays. I don't know if the navy is the same. i need to talk to a recruiter for them as well. I guess my question is what should I do as far joining enlisted or officer? Should I go enlisted and hope for the best. Also is the Navy a better option than the air force. I know I'm asking a lot but any help would be great. Also, was my recruiter correct when she said the air force puts more emphasis on the actual degree you have? Because I hear the army and marines will take anyone with any type of degree. Is the Navy the same way? moreResolved Question: how to phrase the following for my resume?

Is McDonalds good work experience for a recent college graduate such as myself? I just graduated from college a few months ago. Like everyone else, I’m having a hard time finding a job in my field. I graduated with a bachelor degree in hospitality management. I have very little work experience. I did two internships during my school years. I worked for a marketing firm for 3 months and for a hotel as a front desk agent for 6 months. I got a job at McDonalds two months after my graduation because I wanted to do a 3 day part time in order to make some money on the side until I find a job in the hotel field like I want to. My question is do you think the work experience from McDonalds will be helpful? A crew member has to deal with the public just like a hotel front desk agent. They have to provide good customer service, interact with a diverse group of customers, handle the register, work fast pace, multi task, handle cash, and be a people person. The hotel field is a little similar because front desk agent has to provide good customer service to the guest and they work at the front desk dealing with a diverse group of people. Do you think I can transfer this experience to my field? Should I add it to my resume since I had been working for McDonald's for almost 7 months? In case you want to know i'm 20 years old and i live with my parents. moreVoting Question: Is a district manager position at burger king a good job?
I have been asked to interview for a management training program for Burger King. "Once through the program, trainees are promoted (typically to a Sales Profit Operations Coach that has a base salary of $50,000 + company car + 30% bonus & a territory of 40-50 franchise restaurants, and are relocated to an open territory within the United States (we try to land trainees in one of their top 3 choices for location)." It sounds too good to be true. I did google everything and it all is legit. The next thing I am worried about is how is this good for me in the future? I have a 4 year business administration degree, but I want to for better places (fast food is not the most attractive business to me.) Would a district manager position at a fast food joint like burger king give me the attractive resume to have other businesses like Apple or Macy's or Starbucks hire me into a Corporate decision making position? moreResolved Question: Why can't I find a job?
I am getting ready to graduate in May and have been unsuccessful with finding employment. Now...before you jump to any conclusions, let me say that I am not a traditional college student (ie. I'm "old") so I have loads of experience under my belt. I am currently working in a contract position, but it is a part-time, non-steady working environment. I am a hiring manager. I have been applying for grocery store chains, Walmarts, Targets, etc. You name it, I have applied there. No luck whatsoever...and I do have experience with retail, cash handling, customer service, etc.And it's not that they aren't hiring, cause if that were true, why are they listing help wanted ads in job seeking forums? I have been to the career center at my university and revised my resume on numerous occasions, and no--it is not the University of Phoenix, or any of those other hoax/gimmick type of institutions. I go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill...one the the top public universities in the US. In the past I've run my own business, worked in various accounting type positions, been a project manager, office manager, retail manager, and now a hiring manager...so I guess I've got manager written all over me...yet no one is contacting me for a job. I don't even make it to the interview, despite the career center's claim that my resume looks fabulous. If I were making it to the interview, then at least I could narrow it down to my communication skills or something, but what do you do when you can't even get your foot in the door at someplace like national grocery chain? I've taken business related courses, including OSCM, and a slew of economics courses. Game theory to labor economics...you name it...it's not basic stuff. I just don't know what to do. I'm not one of those crazies who owes 80k on my student loans or anything, nothing near that, but the loans I have will begin to get ugly if I can't find employment. At the rate I'm going, unable to even snag myself a part time position so that I can make some additional monies, my future after graduation is starting to look very bleak. I'm starting to think that I should have kept my business, rather than selling it to "finally finish my degree." At least that supported me for the four years I was in operation.... moreResolved Question: should I tell this prospective employer that I have lost my diploma?
I have a 2nd interview with a company tomorrow and they have asked for copies of my certificates. One Certificate I told them I have is correct, is from 1 year ago, I can give them this one - this particular certificate relates directly to the job, not the one below. But I did only 3/4 of a course 18 years ago and have put that I have on my resume that is a Diploma, but I really didn't finish and get it. hey everyone. i want to update my resume but i dont know how i should do it considering my title is not what i do. when i started at the company i work for now, i was considered a "greeter" but now that we've really shrunk from 35+ working here to 9 people (all of us originals) i got a raise and more responsibilities. (btw, i work for a parking company which works for a mall) i dont really greet people so much anymore. i really do 3 main tasks: when i work outside, i do help people out with their tickets and help them pay for their parking. i also make sure the machines are kept up and i fix them when they break down (ticket jams or if they need to be reprogrammed) when im in the office, i collect payment from employees who purchase daily passes and monthly passes and i make reports on a daily basis which then goes to my boss. (via excel) i also deal with customer complaints and having to correspond with people over an intercom, mail, email and through the phone. i also have the power to turn off employee pass cards (what lets them in and out of the structure) as well as reverse any credit card transactions that i deem reasonable to refund. i also make sure all employees are doing as they should on the days im in the office. kinda like a manager, but only on the days im in the office. lastly, every week i collect all the revenue from the machines the customers pay at with cash and have it ready for deposit for the following day. i empty out at least 15 and i report any problems, if there are any. thats a lot of stuff and i know i cant fit that in my resume... any tips on how i can shorten all of those up? thank you to all who reply! moreResolved Question: what is minimum qualifaction to get a job for adhaar.?

I'd like to buy Windows 8 DVD but I am not sure whether it is good or not. I am not technology expert, I am just a student who uses laptop for typing, watching movie, play easy loaded game only. I'm job-hunting and registered on multiple sites. Lately, I've been getting "job offers" not related to those sites. They all follow the same pattern and I'm sure they're all bogus - if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Here's a sample: Good Day, I want to impart about new position we have in advertising sphere. Letter of the opening: Supply chain manager. Division: Supply. Placement: All over the USA. Paycheck: $75,000. Duties: 1. Ensure proper stock records and control on all products in the warehouses. 2. Coordinate and facilitate the demand review meetings. 3. Control necessary documents. 4. Thank you for notice. The grammar, while not perfect, is a bit better than most. This one, at least, doesn't follow the usual scam of accepting and redirecting packages. Should I do it?
It's a regular computer; not a touch screen. What are the pros and cons for me? All I've seen online are articles about tablets and touch screen computers. moreResolved Question: Are you going to purchase Windows 8?
I was looking over several YouTube Videos talking about Windows 8 and its metro features. I'm thinking of purchasing Windows 8 for my brand new computer. But from the looks of it, I don't think I'll like it. i) It seems like Windows is trying to implement touch screen for a desktop PC. How would I use the touch screen set up on a desktop that's not using a Touch Screen? ii) When I look at Window 8, I seem to see MORE negatives then I do with positives. I think over time I'll see the positives, but for the first few weeks, to months of using it, I think I'll probably find more negatives than positives. iii) Windows 8 looks frustrating to use. Even without Metro being used, and Windows Explorer being used, it looks very complicated. The Start button is missing, and you have to modify so many settings to bring Windows 8 back to its "Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000" and past styles. iv) Windows was made to be simpler and easier to use for people who have never used Windows before. The add-on of simplicity makes it look like it's lacking so much of the settings I used to like. Overall, I don't think I'm going to be purchasing Windows 8 for now. I don't see any positives to it, and to me it looks like more effort was put into the tablet, and touch screen device family than into Desktop PCs. I think my opinion might change in the future, but for now I'm considering/thinking about just sticking with Windows 7. What are your opinion's? Will you be getting Windows 8? Do you agree/disagree to my comments? If so, why? Feel free to add more/put your thoughts into it. All replies are appreciated/welcome. moreResolved Question: Is Windows 8 worth it?
