I'm looking at purchasing a Greenlee PVC heater to put subtle but multiple bends into 5-foot sections of PVC. Here's the thing... I've never used one before. A blanket seems to make good economic sense versus the box-type.
My questions: how fast do they heat the conduit? Does it make it "noodly" or do I need to use "elbow grease" to get it to bend? I want to be able to form several 5' lengths in a "session."
What's your personal experience with these devices?
Thank you for your help!

For example, I have to make a 6 and a quarter inch offset with 3/4 " rigid pipe. I can't remember how much space I have in between the two pieces of strut I'm connecting the pipe to, it's roughly 40 inches. The electric bender gives me choices of 15 deg, 22.5 deg, 30 degrees and 45 degrees. I know there are different constant multipliers to use to get my distance between bends but how do I choose which degree angle to use, is there a trigonometry equation I can use to figue it out ?
